JUDAH GOES “GHETTO” AFTER BEING PUNKED
San Francisco, CA– For the average sports fan, the name Zab Judah rings a bell because of his in ring actions after being spanked by Kostya Tszyu in Las Vegas in 2001. He hurled a stool around, threatened referee Jay Nady who made the stop, and with his Ghetto-urchin filled posse, a near riot ensued before order was regained. A fortnight ago, unbeaten San Francisco welter Karim Mayfield was sparring in a Sin City gym with Zab Judah, who is slated to fight this weekend. Mayfield, 13-0-1, 9 KOs, realized that he needed to fight Zab (38-6, 22 KOs) in close. Behind Mayfield was Floyd Mayweather Sr., while Eddie Mustapha Muhammad was in the Judah corner. Working his way in, Karim was raking Zab on the ropes with both hands. Realizing he was getting beat, Zab Judah then went nuts, grabbed Mayfield by the head and started kneeing him in the groin area.
