CHALLENGER MAUSSA, NOT EXACTLY LUNCHMEAT!
Sheffield, UK-Champion Ricky Hatton, will make the first defense of his World title, Saturday afternoon at 4 PM ET against WBA belt bearer Carlos Maussa, (20-2, 18 KOs) of Colombia. The fight is being offered in the U.S. on PPV. Recognized as the true World 140 lb. champion, Hatton enters the bout at 39-0, with 29 KOs. Last time out, he made longtime ruler Kostya Tszyu, yell uncle, before the start of the 12th round of their one-sided June encounter.
HATTON SET TO BRUTALIZE CAPABLE COLOMBIAN!, Carlos Maussa, is a tad better than a ham sandwich. His claim to fame is snaring the WBA trinket from Vivian Harris, in June under Mayweather-Gatti. But, seeing Harris ran himself down to a reported 134 Ω lbs., and is a certified head case, you have to look at Maussas other opponents in order to gauge him. Having done that, look for a country of mad Colombians, turning off their TV sets, and probably before the ninth round.
FLOYD OBVIOUSLY SIDESTEPPED HITMAN!
Last week, Floyd Mayweather, remained unbeaten by licking Sharmba Mitchell, like a stamp! Before that, it was Gatti, Henry Bruseles, Chop & Run Corley, Phillip NDou, and Victoriano Sosa. Not exactly murderers row, hah? Simply put, Sugar Ray Leonard, wasnt fighting ham sandwiches at this point and time, he was facing Roberto Duran.
HARRIS FOLDING LIKE PAPER CHANGED THINGS
Before Harris flopped, he was the one thought to be snacking on a ham sandwich in Maussa. The promotional plan was to match Floyd with Harris, and eventually the winner of the Hatton-Tszyu clash. Leading up to the fight with Gatti, Floyd, said that he recognized the winner as champion. He said Hatton was champ, this as he belittled Arturos stature in pre-fight TV appearances.
FLOYD KNOWS HATTON FIGHT WOULD BE WAR!
Theres a decent chance, that strongman Hatton, might just run Floyd Mayweather out of the ring. I know it, you know it, and yes, so does Floyd! In a pattern reminiscent of Roy Jones, Mayweather has both fans, and bloggers, calling for a Floyd-cott!
