PACQUIAO NOW #1 CONTENDER FOR MAYWEATHER

San Francisco, CA– There is little doubt, especially since the shutout pitched by Manny Pacquiao a fortnight ago against Brandon Rios, people want to see Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. One particular article that was the recent “Thrilla’ in Manila II” generated far more interest than any story of late. If Mayweather and Pacquiao were to fight in the Philippines, it would make this a truly epic encounter. The fearless and unbeaten champion fighting an icon on his soil be such a story in itself that the fight could suck and still be appreciated.

HISTORIC BOUT MANDATED BY WBC FOR 2014

A decision this week by the World Boxing Council, of which Mayweather is recognized as the welterweight (147 lb.) champion has made Manny Pacquiao the “mandatory” or #1 ranked challenger for the unbeaten Las Vegan. Floyd likes to talk about boxing history, at least when he’s part of it, but a world champion is just that, a world champion. Not the champion of Las Vegas, the United States or North America, Floyd is the world welterweight champion.

MAYWEATHER’S SAFETY IN PHILIPPINES NOT A REALITY?

That being said, if the personal safety of the Mayweather group could be guaranteed in the Philippines, meaning 24 hour security hired from outside the country, that I really see no reason for it not to go.
History, history, Floyd do you remember that Muhammad Ali’s true signature bouts were against George Foreman was in Zaire and Joe Frazier in Manila.

WILL MAYWEATHER DUMP WBC TRINKET INSTEAD OF FACING PACQUIAO?

You’ve also got to be wondering how Mayweather is to react to this. I mean, he’s never been forced to do anything he doesn’t want to do since his becoming the best boxer in the game. He could tell the WBC to get screwed, or if he were smart, he’d have his people talking with Manny Pacquiao’s people to get the fight the world is awaiting done.

FLOYD NEEDS TO MAKE HISTORY OUT OF LAS VEGAS

From a personal and professional perspective, fighting and defeating Manny Pacquiao in front of his own people, this would indeed be a crowning moment, a far more glorious event than Floyd having his hand raised in Las Vegas.

DRUG TESTING CUT OFF DATE STILL A PROBLEM?

As far as the drug testing issues, Manny Pacquiao has agreed to such, but he wants a cut off date which to me and many others seems somewhat suspicious. When you look at the testing process involving Mayweather’s recent bouts, they didn’t take any blood in the last 10 days leading up to the fight. No, the process of urine testing is implemented as the fight nears.

TIRED OF BOTH FLOYD & MANNY’S BULL SPIT!

We can go on and on about Manny being scared of needles, which turned out to be nothing more than verbal manure from the mouth of Bob Arum, Manny’s promoter. On Floyd’s side, how can they not realize that this fight would be the crown jewel of Mayweather’s professional career, if he were to go to the Philippines and beat Pacquiao fair and square.

MAYWEATHER SAYS HE IS NOT AFRAID OF PACQUIAO

In closing, if this fight doesn’t happen, be it in the Philippines which is a long shot or the United States, the blame will have to lay at the feet of Floyd Mayweather. For if he isn’t scared of Manny Pacquiao, the fight will happen before 2014 closes out.
