HEAVYWEIGHTS TOP UFC ON FOX 11 SATURDAY 8 PM ET

Los Angeles, CA– The UFC comes back to Big Fox for UFC on Fox 11 Saturday (April 20). The event is headlined by a bout between heavyweights (265 limit) Fabricio Werdum (17-5-1) and Travis Browne (16-1-1) with the winner getting a shot at current champion Cain Velasquez‘ (13-1) belt in Mexico. At 6’7, Browne throws the best elbows in the division and is on quite a roll.
CHICKS TO GET BIG PUSH ON FOX
Bantamweights (135) Meisha Tate (13-5) and Liz Carmouche (9-4) will clash in a meeting of Ronda Rousey (9-0) leftovers. The fight with the most potential for excitement on the card is Donald Cerrone (22-6) and Edson Barboza (13-1). These lightweights (155) are both quite adept at striking but have also shown vulnerabilities.
ULTIMATE FIGHTER U.S. VS. U.K.
Perennial middleweight (185 lb.) contender Michael Bisping (24-6, 14-6 UFC) of England was left Red, White, and Bruised as the brash Brit dropped a wide 5-round decision to American Tim Kennedy (18-4, 3-0 UFC) at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale from the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec, Canada Wednesday night on FOX Sports. Four of Bisping’s six losses have come at the hands of Americans. Looking at Bisping’s resume, it is clear the man struggles with wrestlers, which is part of the reason Kennedy was able to beat him so easily.
COTE SURVIVES SECOND ROUND TO WIN
In the co-main event, former middleweight title challenger Patrick Cote (20-8) survived some scary moments to eke out a decision versus Kyle Noke (20-7-1). A well-placed knee to the head had Cote in a lot of trouble in the second round, but Cote managed to survive and pick up the win.
GREAT CHIN OF STOUT CRACKED
The biggest shock of the night was welterweight K.J. Noons knocking out Sam Stout (20-10-1) in thirty seconds. Stout had never been knocked out prior to this fight and was widely regarded as possessing an iron chin. At this point, Sam may want to consider wrapping it up.
