UFC DROPS HAMMER ON THEIR BEST FIGHTER
San Francisco, CA– Well, not only was I wrong in thinking that the UFC would allow champion Jon Jones to defend his light heavyweight (205 lb.) title next month, the Las Vegas based group suspended the 25-1 Jones, considered the best ‘pound for pound’ in MMA, indefinetly!
DANA WHITE IN NEW MEXICO WITH JONES
Stepping off a private jet in Albuquerque, NM on Tuesday, UFC President Dana White was said to be “in a lather.” Pissed off more than disppointed I think, White and Jones met and that’s when Dana stripped him of the title.
COURT DATE TODAY AS WELL
Appearing in court today for the first time on the Hit and Run accident on Sunday that Jones is believed to have caused by running a red light. Of the three cars involved, one driven by a pregnant Vanessa Sonnenberg, who suffered a broken arm. With the injury incurred, the charge was bumped from a Misdemeanor to a Felony.
INDICTMENT FORTHCOMING?
It would seem so. When this first broke I thought it might be swept under the rug because of who Jones is, both by law enforcement and the UFC. Now it appears, at least at this point in time, this is not the case. The DA will submit the evidence to a Grand Jury and I expect them to indict the 27-year old Jones within 30 days.
CORMIER TO RUMBLE WITH “RUMBLE” JOHNSON
Instead of Jones defending, it’ll be Daniel Cormier and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in a wrestler (Cormier) vs. striker (Johnson) match the vacant title at UFC 187 on May 23 in Las Vegas.
