ALL BOILS DOWN TO TONIGHT ON SPIKE TV
Las Vegas, NV– Season 11 of the Ultimate Fighter TV show will declare a winner in a middleweight (185 lbs) bout between Court McGee (8-1, 2 KOs, 3 SUBs) and Kris McCray (5-0, 1 KO, 4 SUBS). This doesn’t look to be a very competitive finale as I think McGee has all the advantages. McCray basically squeaked by in all his matches on the show, or was able to be brought back in after losing. Look for McGee to take his man down and pound on him after McCray’s limited gas tank runs dry. McGee by TKO. Also on the card will be the ultimate UFC trial horse that upset Chuck Liddell a couple of years ago on points. the always game Keith Jardine (15-7-1, 7 KOS, 2 SUBs) facing off against Matt Hamill (8-2, 6 KOs). Although I am not particularly a fan of Jardine and his unorthodox style, I do feel bad for him as he is never in an easy match. On top of that, he has lost his last three matches inside the Octagon and a fourth could be the end of his UFC tenure. I suspect that Hamill may be able to take Jardine down and dominate position to win a decision over the one time “The Dean of Mean”.
THIS SIMPSON GUY IS NO HOMER!
Another fading Ultimate Fighter alum Chris Leben (19-6, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will be in tough as he faces Aaron Simpson (7-0, 6 KOs). If Leben wants to show he can still be a threat at middleweight, a win over Simpson would certainly do it. Unfortunately for Leben, I think Simpson is a further evolved fighter and will probably hand Chris his third loss in his last four fights. To kick off the action Spencer Fisher (23-5, 11 KOs, 8 SUBs) will take on Dennis Siver (15-7, 5 KOs, 8 SUBs) in a lightweight (155) bout. This should be an excellent scrap to start the night off as both men are tough, battle tested veterans. I like Fisher to win a grueling decision in a high action fight. Action starts at 10 PM ET on Spike TV.
