APPARENTLY TALENTED BRONER AT HOME SATURDAY

Adrien "Got Problems" Broner

Adrien “Got Problems” Broner

San Francisco, CA– In the minds of those who are supposed to know Adrien Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) has got some talent. It is his dedication, conditioning, and oh yeah his ticker, those are just some of the problems I see. The now 25-year old who appeared on “Ring Talk Worldwide” while getting a haircut a couple of calendar turns ago, meets the hand picked but dangerous Emanuel Taylor in a Showtime Championship Boxing main event.

BRONER NOT IN AARON PRYOR SHADOW

Hailing from Cincinnati, OH, Broner was on the fast track to disaster with bar fights in which he admitted biting someone whom he was throwing down with. Burning money on You Tube was nothing compared to his disgraceful behavior in the presence of “boxing groupies/sexual toys” that Broner degrades, again on You Tube. Broner is one of those guys that if he was dating your sister he’d probably be the one getting stabbed and not Kell Brook. (Check Kell Brook story NOW at RingTalk.com)

JUMP TO WELTER AIDED BY AL HAYMON’S JUDGES?

After besting Paulie Malignaggi for the WBA 147 lb. trinket amidst controversy with a Split Decision 12 that a lot people felt was not just, Broner got everything but his head handed to him when he met underdog Marcos Maidana (34-4, 31 KOs) in a December 2013 match. Dropped in rounds two and eight, Broner was never in the fight that was billed as a Floyd MayweatherElimination” bout.

DON’T LIKE UNDISCIPLINED FIGHTERS MUCH

My knock on Broner, besides his being a filthy pig regarding women, and yes there are true players but Adrien likens himself to a pimp, is that he is an undisciplined lightweight who ate himself out of the WBC 135 lb. trinket. After being exposed by Maidana, Broner has had one scrap and that was a Unanimous Decision 10 win over Carlos “Hand Picked” Molina (17-2-1, 7 KOs) in May who had been drilled one year and one fight prior by Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs).

MOLINA DID PERCEIVED JOB FOR “BIG AL” ADEQUATELY

The scores read 100-90, 99-91, 98-92 or 10-zip, 9-1 & 8-2 in rounds. The slower non-puncher Molina did what manager/adviser Al Haymon brought him in for to get Broner a win. That being said, Emanuel Taylor of Maryland is also “hand picked.” But unlike Molina, Taylor has a good shot to upset Al Haymon’s “chubby” client even though he is going into The Problem’s hometown.

ONLY LOSSES ON TAYLOR RESUME WERE ON POINTS

At 18-2, 12 whacks, a SD 10 loss near home in Washington DC to Prenice Brewer (then 17-1) in 2010 and UD 12 loss to current WBO 140 lb. champ Chris “No Respect” Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs) on Valentines Day 2014 or one bout prior to Algieri besting then champ Ruslan Provodnikov (26-3, 16 KOs) in June. (Algieri meets Manny Pacquiao 56-5-2, 38 KOs in Macau November 22).

TAYLOR BESTED “HARD HITTA” LAST TIME OUT

Coming off a UD 10 win over puncher (18-2, 12 KOs) Karim Mayfield in July, Taylor looks like a 2 1/2 to 1 underdog in this Showtime main event from US Bank Arena. Some think he has enough to beat Adrien at home, what do you think? I’ll reserve opinion until the weigh in set for 140 lbs. Friday.afternoon.

REGARDING AARON PRYOR & BRONER

Comparing Broner to Aaron Pryor is not a stretch. NO, it’s preposterous. It stops in that they are both from Cincinnati period! See you after the weigh in at RingTalk.com
