NO RESPECT FOR THE POTENTIALLY BEST AT 175

Los Angeles, CA– For the past year on HBO you’ve seen hyped up prospects like Mexican junior middleweight (154 lbs.) Saul Alvarez (37-0-1, 27 KOs), as well as potentially young superstars emerge such as Filipino American WBO & WBC bantamweight (118) champion Nonito Donaire (26-1, 18 KOs) and former Cuban Olympic Gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa (20-0, 16 KOs), this in addition to veterans like “real” world middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26 KOs), and this past weekend another up and coming performer had a thrilling knockout victory.

AND THEN THERE’S RODNEY…ER TAVORIS CLOUD

Tavoris Cloud (23-0, 19 KOs) is the IBF light heavyweight(175) champion who gets little respect from the networks, the boxing public and especially opponents. He showed with his brutal TKO win over Yusef Mack Saturday night that the boxing world better take notice.

TAVORIS EMERGING FROM THE BOXING CLOUDS

Cloud, by far the most exciting of the marquee fighters in his division, is a dangerous puncher who throws punches on the inside in workman like fashion. One can appreciate a guy that goes out and gives a lot of effort and continues to try and take his foe out. In his first bout on HBO last year, Cloud put on a solid performance against the always durable Glen Johnson (51-15-2, 35KOs), winning eight rounds to four on all three cards. Being bantered about is a possible bout with ex-WBC champ Jean Pascal (26-2-1, 16 KOs).
