New York, NY– This Saturday; undefeated IBF super middleweight (168) belt holder Lucian Bute (27-0, 22 KOs) faces battle tested heavy handed pug Brian Magee (34-3-1, 24 KOs) over 12 rounds of scheduled throw down at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at 10 PM ET on Showtime.
IS THIS ANOTHER REPEAT?
After a series of smashing victories in front of his adoring fans in his adopted country of Canada; Lucian Bute is looking to continue his success. Another spectacular win for Bute could open the doors for greater international appeal and possibly rank him among the elite fighters in a division that has received much publicity of late.
BRIAN WHO?
After starting his professional career as a promising unbeaten fighter in 24 contests, in his 25th affair; Brian Magee suffered his first setback at the hands of Robin Reid (L UD 12). Since, Magee has seen many ups and downs and is currently riding a four fight Knockout streak. Brian is a solid scrapper who has enjoyed mild success against average adversity. However when stepping up to the “big show”, Magee has been beat on like a drum by the likes of Carl Froch (L KO 11) and Vitaliy Tsypko (L SD 12).
