San Francisco, CA– A day after Albuquerque, NM turned out in the thousands for hometown hero and UFC bantamweight (135 lb.) champ Holly Holm, honoring the native for her destruction of Ronda Rousey, the loser told ESPN Magazine that the kick “heard round” the world did a lot more than knock her unconscious.
ROUSEY MIGHT NEED MOST OF 2015 OFF!
“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” Rousey said. If medical professionals are telling her it’ll be many months until her teeth are ready to bite hard into something, it might be that the air that we heard coming out of the Rousey balloon, (I maybe out on a limb here) but this looks to me like a balloon that cannot be re-inflated.
RONDA WILL “NEVER” BE THE SAME
Returning from defeat is not an easy task for a fighter. The “doubt” that was never part of your makeup is now the first thing you wake up to. Add the fact that you were knocked into another time zone as a 20-1 favorite, the hype surrounding you at an almost unprecedented level, well I just don’t think Ronda Rousey the fighter se saw prior to UFC 193, can ever come back. If Ronda takes a rematch in 2016, Holm beats her. Should she take a “tune up” fight against even a low level threat, that might even prove disastrous. What’s Ronda to do?
