DARN GOOD BOXING MAN PASSES!
Oklahoma City, OK-Having spent a considerable amount of time around Oklahoma boxing in recent years, I was saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Karl Sauer. The 74-year old retired Orthopedic Surgeon, Doc was on his way to visit his Grandson in Fort Gibson OK on April 11th. Driving alone, his car somehow went off the road, and well the rest is

Sauer was very active within the Commission as the Vice-Chairman. He attended almost every event that was held in the State of Oklahoma. A member of the Olympic medical committee back in the 80s, Doc Sauer, was as fine a man as youll ever meet! The Sauer family, and the sport of boxing have both lost a great man. Simply put, Doc was my kind of guy! He will be dearly missed!
