VEGAS JUDGE ALMOST RUINS NIGHT
San Francisco, CA– I am not going to go into depth on the “boxing lesson” Tim Bradley gave Juan Manuel Marquez. Showing no ill effects from damage incurred in his last fight, Bradley (31-0, 12 KOs) boxed circles around the Mexican mauler Marquez, ten years Bradley’s senior at 40. It was as close to a “No Contest” as a boxing match can be.
BRADLEY WAS PAINTING JMM LIKE BROWN PICKET FENCE
Round after round, it was Bradley being the far busier and effective boxer, sticking, moving, jabbing, an occasional right hand, body shots, you name it. Like the English TV guys said, it was very one-sided. My score read 116-112 or 8-4 in rounds, and that I must admit meant the close rounds went to Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOS). Officially, Pat Jarman agreed with me at 116-112, but Glenn Feldman, who is in the CJ Ross league of loser Las Vegas judges, had Marquez winning 115-113. This was far more egregious than Ross having Floyd Mayweather-Saul Alvarez even a fortnight ago.
BAD SCORING ALL FAVORS MEXICANS!
Need I remind you about the recent Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.-Brian Vera match, that was in Carson, CA. But all of these ludicrous, criminal, inept, I don’t know another metaphor, this bad judging is seemingly favoring Mexican boxers in the US. Has the Mexican Mafia taken over professional boxing?
THIRD JUDGE HAD IT “CLOSE FOR BRADLEY”
Robert Hoyle’s card read 115-113 for Bradley, giving him the Split Decision 12 victory. How can Nevada continue to defend these scores? Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval said he was going to hold The Commission boss Keith Kizer “accountable” for these off the map scores! We will see. Bradley can give Adrien Broner, the WBC guy a bad time, but nobody, even seeing he’s 36, nobody is in Floyd Mayweather’s league right now. Not Timmy, Amir Khan, Sergio Martinez, only WBA 160 lb. king Gennady Golovkin has a shot right now.
