San Francisco, CA– While I won’t confirm or deny whether or not this is the same HBO executive that told me the Time Warner owned company was going to “dump” Sports CEO Ross Greenburg, I’m told that after one fight on Showtime PPV, the May encounter with Shane Mosley, which garnered 1.3 million Pay Per View buys, my source says that the most popular boxer globally, Philippine icon Manny Pacquiao will return to HBO in November for his third fight with arch-rival Juan Manuel Marquez set for November.

Showtime PPV promised a promotional blitz for Pacquiao-Mosley, which failed to materialize in my mind. But the word was that CBS TV, like Showtime, a Viacom subsidiary, didn’t want to rebroadcast Pacquiao-Mosley because the fight stunk the joint out! Whether it was Mosley’s lack of desire of fear of engaging, Pacquiao’s leg cramps, or a combination of both, the fight literally sucked and was not replayed on CBS as we had all been led to believe it would be.
