TEENAGE PINOY WINS WBO CROWN

Rama, CanadaMarvin Sonsona UD 12 Jose Lopez: WBO 115 lb. title. Although inexperienced, 19-year-old Sonsona (14-0, 12 KOs) beat the seasoned Lopez (39-8-2, 32 KOs) over the distance. Sonsona scored a knockdown in round four and Lopez was penalized two points for going below the belt in the eighth. Scores read 114-111, 115-110 & 116-109.
Steve Molitor KO 5 Feliciano Ledezma. Canada’s Molitor (30-1, 12 KOs) had an easy time with Azuaga (76-16-2, 64 KOs). Molitor put Azuaga on the canvas in round four and continued with an all out body assault in the fifth. Veteran Azuaga was finished at 1:50 of #5.
