SLICE GETS SLICED ON SPIKE TV
Las Vegas, NV– As predicted, Kimbo Slice (3-1, 2 KOs, 1 SUB) fell short of victory against former IFL heavyweight champ Roy “Big Belly” Nelson (13-4, 6 KOs, 4 SUBs). Slice handled himself well through the first half of the opening round while the fight stayed on the feet. Once Nelson moved in and was able to clinch a sweep on Kimbo, Nelson had him in a bad spot right away. After mounting Slice, Nelson moved to side control and was able to pin Slice’s arms and bang away with short, pitter pat shots in which Kimbo had no answer for.
SLICE SIMPLY CANNOT FIGHT!
Slice avoided a stoppage as the bell sounded to end the round. After losing the first, Slice needed to come out strong for the second stanza; and that he did. After catching Nelson with a couple solid shots to the head, Slice threw a knee while Nelson charged in and took Slice back down. Once again Nelson gained a Crucifix position from side mount and started banging away on Kimbo’s forehead. Although not necessarily hurt, Slice was taking repeated unanswered shots which forced referee Herb Dean to call a halt to the bout giving Roy Nelson the TKO victory.
DANA WHITE CAN’T SPIN LOSS
Ever the businessmen that the UFC brass are, it was hinted at Kimbo being able to re enter the competition when big Marcus Jones (4-1, 3 KOs, 1 SUB) was “supposedly” having health issues. Tune in Next Wednesday night on Spike TV to check out what happens next!
