CUBAN HAS WARNED OSCAR DE LA HOYA & HIS CEO RICHARD SCHAEFER

San Francisco, CA– Let’s lay out the facts for you. Erislandy Lara is the #1 ranked WBC contender at 154 lbs. The only fight he lost to Paul Williams was such a scoring atrocity that the New Jersey Athletic Control Board “suspended” all three judges indefinitely after the July 2011 fight. Unbeaten Saul Alvarez is the “protected house” fighter at Golden Boy Promotions. Although he’s only 21, he’s 40-0-1 with 29 KOs, Alvarez is the “hottest” ticket in Mexico, and in case you didn’t know it, Mexicans and Mexican-Americans are the biggest piece of the pie that is the boxing fan base.

GOLDEN BOY IGNORES #1 LARA & SIGNS WILLIAMS TO FIGHT

It appears Oscar De La Hoya and his boxing brain Richard Schaefer are in violation of a promotional agreement with Lara, seeing they are supposed to be acting in his best behalf. Yet, they signed Paul Williams who got the “W” over Lara (16-1-1, 11 KOs) in a fight that was the “heist of 2011,” to fight Alvarez in September. When Williams was pulled off the card after he was crippled in a motorcycle accident earlier this week, Golden Boy bypassed the #1 ranked Lara and signed limited slugger (#4 ranked) James Kirkland to replace (#2) Williams.

DID KIRKLAND GET HURT OR WANT MORE MONEY?

In the past 24 hours, Kirkland pulled out of the fight saying his surgically repaired shoulder wasn’t in good enough condition to train, this after a single workout on Thursday night. At the same time, word has it Curtis Meeks, a once beaten fighter who hasn’t fought in several years, said that Kirkland was not happy with the money and if GBP put $2.5 million on the table, Kirkland would be ready and willing to fight Alvarez. At the same time, Kirkland’s manager, the cowardly lion himself, Cameron Dunkin said that the fighter was not 100% and that money was not an issue.

IF LARA DOESN’T GET THE FIGHT, HE BEATS GBP IN COURT EASILY!

Now we go full circle and back to the #1 contender Erislandy Lara. Alavarez hasn’t made a mandatory defense since June of last year against hapless Ryan Rhodes. This was after winning the vacant title against club fighter Matthew Hatton, a practicing welterweight (147 lbs) who had never fought anybody better than a “stiff” at any weight over 147. Now, Kirkland is out, Williams is done, and Lara is ready to expose the “green” as guacamole Mexican Alvarez. But will he get the fight he deserves?

ESPN’S TRAINED SEAL LISTS LARA LAST!

Only thing is, Lara’s name is at the bottom of the list even though he’s #1. At least he’s at the bottom of the list of potential foes that ESPN shill Dan Rafael put out Friday night. I’ve told you in recent articles that Cuban fighters today are almost akin to being a Black in the era of slavery, this is just another example of Pedro being right and the boxing establishment looking to screw somebody worthy over. Lara told BoxingScene.com that Golden Boy has passed him over twice, and that there will be hell to pay if they pass him up again. For the record, I’ve been told this was said just after Lara learned Kirkland was pulling out of the fight.

LARA NEEDS A GOOD ATTORNEY!

If GBP bypasses Lara again, he should be compensated to the extent of $2 million US for not getting the fight. Legally, the WBC is in trouble here, and they’ve already had their ass kicked in New York court by Graciano Rocchigiani, who won a near $30 million judgment over the WBC taking his 175 lb. title away for the sole sake of giving to it to Roy Jones. The WBC is still on the brink of going broke after Graciano agreed to a lesser amount and a payment plan, of which they may have defaulted on. Golden Boy Promotions has not represented Lara in the fiduciary manner in which they are obliged to. Either Lara gets paid off nicely, or he fights Alvarez. Not even Richard Schaefer is arrogant and or stupid enough to realize I’m not 100% right here!
