“THE GHOST UPSET ON SHO BOX!

Lemoore, CA-When youre an undefeated, #2 ranked contender, people expect you to perform marvelously. Unbeaten, and elongated, Robert Guerrero, ran into a guy in Gamaliel Diaz, that didnt care about either. A Mexican citizen, who brought with him a pretty good record, Diaz, who was supposed to present nothing more than a pugilistic speed bump for Guerrero, Diaz, would have no part of the script.

DIAZ OUTWORKED GHOST THROUGH TEN HEATS!, When the bell rang for the start of the 11th round, Diaz, had a two-point lead. Told that he needed a knockout to win, trainer John Bray, himself once a good fighter, implored Guerrero to go for the KO, all the while Diaz, was just biding his time. You see, he knew that after pocketing a bunch of early rounds, that the 126 lb. Guerrero, had to drill Diaz, to remain undefeated. And while Robert tried, he was in too deep of a hole. to dig himself out.

REFEREE INSERTS HIMSELF AT WRONG TIME!

It was a fight where both men threw rabbit punches a majority of the time. So, for referee Dan Stell, to take a point from Diaz in the final round, this clearly illustrated to me that Stell may knows the rules, but he doesnt know boxing. It was an unwarranted move. The penalty, it would have no bearing on the outcome.. The scores, 115-112, 114-113, both for Diaz. Incredibly, one jurist had Guerrero, of Gilroy, CA, in front 115-112. Diaz, improves to 20-5-2, (9 KOs). The Ghost, loses for the first time, and is now 16-1-1, (8 KOs).

WILLIAMS WINS SHO BOX CO-FEATURE

Southpaw welterweight, Paul Williams, 147, Augusta, GA, remained perfect professionally with a 5th round KO, of the often KOd Alfonso Sanchez, 148, Mexico. Williams, improves to 28-0, (20 KOs), while Sanchez declines to 20-4-1, (18 KOs).

TELEFUTURA AIRS DON CHARGIN CARD

Oroville, CARogelio Castaneda, 139 Ω, Sacramento, CA, scored a rare knockout when he halted Ernesto Zepeda, 139, Mexico, in the third round, of a scheduled 12-round IBA bout. Improving to 21-10-3, Rogelio, picks up KO #7. Zepeda, slides to 37-10-4, (32 KOs).
