FLOYD MAYWEATHER 3-1 OVER SAUL ALVAREZ
San Francisco, CA– When it comes to boxing and selecting beatable foes, Floyd Mayweather (44-0, 27 KOs) is not only undefeated in the ring, but at the negotiating table as well, something that seems to get by the so-called boxing media of 2013. What I am saying here is simple and that is Floyd Mayweather picked Saul Alvarez because he can lick him like a stamp!
PUNDITS THINK MEXICAN IS ULTRA TALENTED
At 42-0-1, 31 KOs, Saul Alvarez has a fantastic record on paper. But seeing the manner in which he has been moved, it is quite possible that we are lookinjg at another WBC creation much like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. While some pundits are in awe of the unbeaten mark, if one were to look closer at Canelo’s resume you’d realize that much like undefeated heavyweight Deontay Wilder(28-0, 28 KOs) the numbers are somewhat deceiving.
WBC & GOLDEN BOY HAVE SHOWN “TOO MUCH” CONCERN
Sans any doubt, Alvarez hasn’t fought any “A” class fighters at 154 lbs. outside of Austin Trout (26-1, 14 KOs) whom he turned back via UD 12 on April 20 in San Antonio, TX. No need to regurgatatethe 12 rounds, but suffice to say that it was a 1 or 2 point fight and that Alvarez, although a betting favorite, did not look stellar in what was his first on the job fistic exam.
CANTALOUPE IS ORANGE, BUT ALVAREZ IS GREEN!
Although the 22-year old star from south of the border has the nickname of “Cantaloupe,” truth be told he is as green as guacamole before the elements turn it brown. With the WBC doing everything they can to preserve Alvarez’ unbeaten mark, including “Open Scoring” for the Trout fight, Saul doesn’t have to apologize or make excuses for his shortcomings, for in the mind of WBC czar Jose Sulaiman, much like Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. or Jr., Alvarez has been guarded much like Queen Elizabeth’s jewels.
POY-FECT TIME FOR FLOYD TO BE “MEX-ECUTIONER”
Although I am of opinion that Floyd, at 36, is slipping, unless considerable regression occurs between April and September, Saul Alvarez, just like every previous Mayweather opponent, will “talk the talk” and fail miserably attempting to “walk the walk.” All Alvarez has going for him are WBC judges, youth, and possibly upper body strength, outside of that he is just another Mexican stumble bum who will end up playing a bit role in the boxing life and career of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
