MAYWEATHER NOT AS RELEVANT AS HIS FAN’S THINK!
San Francisco, CA– Being around the first time Floyd Mayweather said he was retiring from boxing, I was not one of the three heartbroken people in the world when this news hit. The three people, his baby’s mama, advisor Leonard Ellerbe, and trainer/uncle Roger Mayweather, all three knew the boy from Grand Rapids, MI, they all knew his fighting was the difference between filet mignon and round steak, thus only this trio went into semi-shock.
HBO NEVER GOT ANY CALLS!
When Mayweather threatened retirement years ago, he said it was because he was underpaid. I called HBO one week after the announcement and got hooked with a PBX Operator named Louie. I asked had anybody called and complained about HBO shorting Floyd and forcing him to retire? Louie said he hadn’t taken any calls, and after checking with every single person who answers the HBO corporate phone lines, that not one person, not Floyd’s baby’s mama, not Mr. Ellerebe, nor uncle Roger. Bottom line, nobody gives a s*it!
FLOYD’S PPV NUMBERS ARE AN ABOMINATION
The PPV numbers that he put up against Shane Mosley were something like 1.5 million homes. I have come to the belief that these boxing fans who purchased the fight were expecting to see greatness, instead they instead saw lateness! Look at 33, not only is Floyd Mayweather past his peak, he is said to have testicular shortcomings that have prevented the mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao from materializing. Or was it the fact that Manny wants a “cut off date” in regards to blood/steroid testing? The truth is both! Manny won’t submit to total unannounced testing, and Floyd is a a little light when it comes to the weight of his scrotum.
SANS ONE ANOTHER, MANNY & FLOYD HURT BOXING GAME
At the moment, Floyd Mayweather has a full plate of legal issues that include criminal charges from more than one complaining party. Manny, he is swimming in unchartered political waters, ones in which he’d be eaten alive if he were not Manny Pacquiao.
