BRASH, BOLD, COCKY, RICH, THAT’S JUST A START
San Francisco, CA– There is nothing wrong with being bold and cocky. Especially if you can back it up! Floyd Mayweather is not favorite fighter, nor is he my favorite person. That being said, I am aghast at the negativity that is spewed when I mention his name. Be it on the radio, in print, or in social situations, all people want to do is harp over the fact Floyd has been a chump more than once in his life. Especially Filipinos, folks, it’s Manny Pacquiao, their sacred cow, he’s the one that has apparently fathered at least one child out of wedlock, is a notorious gambler, a man who got off on having a stable of chickens that he raised to fight to the death. Now he’s trying to say that he has joined the cult of “Born Again Christians.”
MAYWEATHER IS GUILTY OF ABUSE & OTHER OFFENSES
This is not a piece defending Floyd Mayweather, for I think he has proven over the years to be what can be best described as an asshole. Be it the Domestic Violence case that will put him in the Clark County Jail come the 1st of June, his kicking a downed man in a Grand Rapids, MI pool hall, or hitting somebody over the head with a champagne bottle in a Las Vegas tavern. In addition, Floyd has treated some people like shit. All that being said, it doesn’t take away from Floyd Mayweather the fighter and his 42-0 record. Some have accused him of cherry picking, and that he lost the first fight ten years ago this week with Mexican strongman Jose Luis Castillo at 135 lbs. He soundly beat Castillo in a rematch. Truth be told, a lot of you wouldn’t “know a left hook from a fish hook” and are novices when it comes to boxing knowledge.
ADDRESSING THE MANNY PACQUIAO FAN BASE
In the previous paragraph, the “novices” I was referring to are the hard line fans of Manny Pacquiao. Listen, he can’t walk on water, cannot part the sea, has done a lot of things that a man shouldn’t be proud of, and this should be a realization for his Kool Aid drinking admirers as well. He’s not undefeated; Manny’s been knocked out twice in his career, and has feasted on dead carcasses ever since taking out the already “done” piece of toast Marco Antonio Barrera. His reluctance to gamble with a cut eye in the first Erik Morales fight that to me illustrated that Manny didn’t have a full tank when it came to intestinal fortitude. If Barrera was “done” toast when Pacquiao thumped him, Erik Morales was “burnt” toast when he faced Pacquaio in the three occasions he did.
LAST PARAGRAPH ON PACQUIAO BEFORE THE ENDING
Manny Pacquiao has feasted on “dead men” at the weight since he left 130 lbs., something I think he did because the Filipino Congressperson (notice I did not say, Congressman) knew that Juan Manuel Marquez was the better of the two, thus why not fight David Diaz, a hapless lad whose biggest accomplishment in his pugilistic life was his garnering the WBC 135 lb. title. At 140, knocking out the face-first fighter Ricky Hatton was the only “real” accomplishment you can attribute to the Pacman this side of 130 lbs. Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto were “contracted” to be weight drained, as was human punching bag Antonio Margarito, when all three men agreed to fight Pac at unnatural weights. Joshua Clottey fought “handcuffed,” Shane Mosley, formerly “Sugar” and now “Splenda,” whose naturally sweet days have come and go.
BACK TO MAYWEATHER THE FIGHTER
Citing the Jose Luis Castillo first fight as Floyd’s low point shows how limited your boxing acumen is. When Floyd faced Carlos Hernandez at 130 in May 2001, Mayweather was whining, wincing, almost crying over the pain his hands were causing him. On that night, Floyd Mayweahter came as close to losing a professional than he ever has, for he was ready to quit. Had “Famouso” Hernandez been able to read his opponent, Mayweather’s undefeated record would have ended right then and there.
TIRED OF THE PACQUIAO/ARUM/FILIPINO BULL SHIT!
There have been a plethora of reasons bantered about as to why Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have yet to fight. First of all, and this fact, so I don’t want hear the Pacland crybaby’s countering the factual record. The fight had been agreed to in late 2009, early 2010. Manny Pacquiao demanded that Floyd Mayweather forfeit either a million or ten million dollars for every pound he came in over 147. Floyd had struggled before failing in making the contracted 143 lbs. with Juan Manuel Marquez. In case you forgot, as the once great Roy Jones used to say, JMM never won a single minute of the 36 he fought with Mayweather. It wasn’t the life and death struggle Pacquiao had with JMM, especially the last one when trainer Freddie Roach told him before the final round, “You need a knockout to win.”
NEGOTIATING CAME TO AN END AFTER PACQUIAO PUNKED OUT ON DRUG TESTS!
After accepting Manny’s demands during negotiations regarding paying a bundle of dollars for anything over 147 lbs, Floyd said that he wanted Pacquiao to submit to Olympic Drug Testing, proposing the World Anti Doping Association (WADA) administer the tests. This is where the fight set for March 13, 2010 fell apart. Pacquiao, who has been accused, suspected, call it what you want, of using Performance Enhancing Drugs such as Steroids, EPO and Insulin to name just three, Manny “refused” the WADA testing and he went on to fight Joshua “Handcuffed” Clottey, while Floyd faced a fading Shane Mosley.
MAYWEATHER IS JUST THE SUPERIOR FIGHTER!
If you think the above “sub title” lacks merit, ask Juan Manuel Marquez, for he couldn’t hit Floyd Mayweather in the ass if he had a tennis racket in his hand! And yes, this is the same guy that the majority of pundits felt beat Manny Pacquiao last November, apparently so did trainer Freddie Roach, I know conditioning coach Alex Ariza who left Pacquiao in the middle his current training camp, using words describing Pacquiao as “exposed” and the like, felt the same.
MANNY PACQUIAO WILL NEVER FIGHT FLOYD MAYWEATHER PERIOD!
The game of boxing, be it the result of the blatantly wrong decisions, the failure of the best fighting the best, or the ascension of the Ultimate Fighting Championships and their leaving boxing in the rear view window of popularity, the game of professional boxing is hurting badly! That being said, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather may not have stopped the UFC in it’s tracks, it would have put boxing on the front page of newspapers, websites and magazines globally. Lastly, I’m going to question the balls of Manny Pacquiao, for they seem to be the size of a hamster, for it was he who said in January that he, “Would fight Floyd Mayweather May 5, but Floyd’s going to jail.” Three days later, Clark County officials stated Mayweather would not have to report for his period of incarceration until June.
MANNY PACQUIAO BECAME MARCEL MARCEAU
When the announcement was made that Mayweather would be available for May 5, Pacquiao was not to be heard from for weeks. Not even his shills in the Filipino press could get Manny to respond. It was like the Pacman had become a mime. About three weeks later, the disingenuous admitted Felon, I’m talking about promoter Bob Arum, stated that Manny, because of a cut suffered in November would not be ready to fight until June. If you can’t smell the bullshit at this point, you have no ability to smell! Pacquaio instead signs to fight another Top Rank fighter in Tim “Three Handed” Bradley.
THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THIS!
Manny Pacquiao is simply no match for Floyd Mayweather! Be it hand speed, size and reach, boxing ability, ring generalship, defense, Pacquiao might be able to hit harder than Floyd, but that doesn’t make this fight competitive! Floyd Mayweather has already pled guilty to Domestic Violence. Should he fight Manny Pacquiao, the Clark County District Attorney should charge him again. For up to this point, Manny Pacquiao has acted like a girl afraid of an abusive spouse!
