INTEGRATED SPORTS PPV MAIN HAD TUA-BARRETT
Atlantic City, NJ– David Tua, (237.5), South Auckland, New Zealand Draw 12 Monte Barrett, (225), Queens, NY. In a surprisingly entertaining fight, Tua (51-3-2, 43 KOs) and Barrett (34-9-1, 20 KOs) fought at close range from round one, but there was a clear winner despite a controversial and disappointing draw. An old looking Tua wilted as he attempted to stalk Barrett. Unable to land many clean shots late in fight, a frustrated Tua was deducted a point for throwing Barrett to the canvas in the final round.
TUA LOOKED GERIATRIC LAYING ON DECK
Floored by Barrett for the first time in his career in the waning seconds of the fight, the final bell rang before Monte could capitalize. Scores were 115-111 for Tua and 113-113 twice. Tua fought OK with what he had, however Barrett was more accurate and should have won.
