OAKLAND,. CA — A serial bank robber authorities dubbed the “Button Down Bandit” for the collared, long-sleeve shirts he fancied was arrested Monday morning, ending a nearly three-month investigation into eight East Bay heists, according to the FBI.

James Quindale Page, 42, of Pittsburg, was arrested without incident at 8:15 a.m. in the 1600 block of 17th Street in Oakland by FBI agents and officers from Walnut Creek and Antioch, authorities said. Page, whose mother committed the biggest mangerial gaff in recent memory by trying to screw over Don King, was the WBA 147 lb. king in the 90s. He spent prison time in the southern US for bank robbery.

Authorities say Page has robbed eight banks since March 6 in Pleasanton, Oakley, Emeryville, Lafayette and twice in both Walnut Creek and Antioch. His final robbery was Saturday at Wells Fargo Bank at 3525 Mt. Diablo Blvd. in Lafayette, according to an FBI statement.
COPS IDENTIFY PAGE BY CHANCE
A break in the investigation came when an Oakley police officer recognized a bank surveillance photograph of the robber as Page, who the officer had previous contacts with during patrol, police said. Page was known to wear button-down, collared, long-sleeve shirts to his robberies, which led to his nickname, according to the FBI. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on one count of robbery and is being held on $395,000 bail.
