Lopez, the more precise and accurate puncher prevailed, as he knocked Concepcion down twice in the second round, prompting the fight to be stopped at the 2:37 mark.
LAST FIGHT AT 115 AN EASY ONE FOR “FILIPINO FLASH”
Nonito Donaire, 114.5, San Leandro, CA TKO 8 Hernan Marquez, 115, Sonora, MX (interim WBA 115 lb. belt) Donaire (24-1, 16 KOs) fought Marquez (27-2, 20 KOs) as a southpaw for the first four rounds, due in part to a hip injury, was winning but without any real foreworks. Once he switched to an orthodox stance, Marquez had no chance. Dropped in round six as it was all Donaire from then until the end which came at 2:59 of the eighth round.

MOLINA BESTS LUNDY ON ESPN
John Molina Jr., 135, Covina, CA TKO 11 Hank Lundy, 135, Philadelphia, PA. Molina Jr. (21-1, 17 KOs) chased Lundy (18-1-1, 10 KOs) relentlessly until finally connecting with a right in the eighth round, depositing Lundy on his back. Before then the fight was even, after a tired Lundy was no match for the resurgent Molina Jr. who handed Lundy his first loss at 2:17 of the eleventh round.

Atlantic City, NJ- Mike Jones, 146.5, Philadelphia, PA KO 5 Irving Garcia, 146.5, Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. Jones (22-0, 18 KOs) scored a dominating fifth round knockout of Garcia (17-5-3, 8 KOs). The punch was actually a low blow that dropped Garcia; missed by referee Randy Neumann. Time was 1:22 of the fifth.
