Benoit Killed His Son With This Move
San Francisco, CA– When people are murdered, I don’t consider that day of the year an anniversary. Although I remember November 22, 1963 for that was the day President John Kennedy was killed in a coup, it is not a day of celebration. But next month, June 25, 2007 to be exact, means it had been seven years since professional wrestler Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and their son Daniel were found dead in their Fayetteville County, GA mini-mansion.

Actually, Benoit had killed his wife Nancy first, drugged his son before taking his life, and then hung himself on a weight machine on the ground floor of the house. A forensic examination indicated that Nancy had been dead at least 2-3 days. She was found tied up. her feet and wrists bound before dying of asphyxiation some time on Friday. Daniel had expired probably June 23, before Benoit did himself in 24 hours or so before neighbors and police entered the house at 2:30 PM ET on Monday, June 25, 2007.
BLOGGER HAD NANCY DEAD BEFORE ANYBODY KNEW!
Although there have been a few conspiracy theories, there is NO DOUBT that Benoit was the man who killed his family before committing suicide. The conspiracy talk began when Nancy Benoit’s death was reported on a blog prior to anybody having any knowledge of the homicides and suicide. It was get this, a joke that just happened to turn out to be real.

WAS DANIEL RETARDED AS SOME THINK?
Daniel Benoit, Chris and Nancy’s only child was just seven years old when his father killed him. He had internal injuries to the throat area. Not your normal kid per se, Daniel was afflicted with a mental illness called “Fragile X Syndrome,” although Chris Benoit denied it. Fragile X syndrome is a genetic condition involving changes in part of the X chromosome. It is the most common form of inherited intellectual disability (mental retardation) in boys.
PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS DUDN’T HELP!
While talking with an MD about this a while back, he told me that because of Benoit’s abuse of Steroids, among other drugs, that Daniel’s condition may have been the result of the decades of steroid use. Somebody told me that NFL players, seem to have a greater tendency to have Autistic children, possibly due to the use of performance enhancing drugs. When the pathologist conducted the autopsy on Chris Benoit, they found his Testosterone level to be 59-1 ratio. A couple of years ago, UFC fighter Alistair Overeem was suspended for testing out at 14-1. Normal is 4-1, I’m told.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission banned Testosterone Replacement Therapy for boxing and MMA. Of course they do not sanction wrestling as it is entertainment and not a sport.
THE BRAIN DAMAGE FROM WRESTLING & STEROIDS?
Benoit’s brain was examined and found to be like an 85-year old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. To that, WWE chairman Vince McMahon scoffed and said that Benoit could not have been in such a state as he made appointments, was on time for matches, could remember scripts, etc. It’s saying crap like that has made McMahon a despised individual by a good number of people in and out of wrestling.

But if you remember, Benoit was never a good guy with the microphone. The brain trauma that Benoit endured in his 22 years of professional wrestling, which is “worked” or prearranged, meaning the winners and losers are determined before the match takes place. But Benoit used as his finishing move for many years a dive off the corner of the ring from the top rope and head butt a prone opponent.
SOME TIMES THINGS GO WRONG IN WRESTLING
Speculation has it that Chris suffered so many concussions with the move, that it led to brain damage, which led, in the minds of experts, to his slaughtering his family. Nancy, who was married to the “booker” of talent in the now defunct World Championship Wrestling, Kevin Sullivan was dubbed “Woman” as she was a valet for various wrestlers.

Sullivan, who was a fair wrestler at best with modest success as a ghoulish figure, wrote a script where his wife Nancy would have a “faked” affair with Benoit. Before you knew it, Nancy and Chris were no longer acting and in fact sleeping together. It is probably the only time in history where a man designed his own divorce.

Almost seven years later, nobody mentions Benoit on television, be it WWE or any other wrestling show. What I found so weird about these deaths is that Benoit, known as “The Crippler,” a name used by one of the greats in wrestling Ray Stevens in the 60s, 70s and 80s, is thought by the coroner to have killed a drugged out Daniel with his famous finishing move, the “Crippler Crossface” choke hold.

Recently we are learning that a percentage of NFL players suffering from head trauma received in their gridiron days are clinically depressed, suffering from dementia, or as one recent player did, killed himself from the effects of too many blows to the head. Take that into consideration next time you watch a boxing match!
