San Francisco, CA– Although both staff writers (Matt Grizzle & Sammy Perez) predicted that Cain Velasquez would beat Brock Lesnar, both guys seemed to to be posturing from an anti-Lesnar stance, rather than a pro Velasquez position. But in the end, both our MMA experts were right in saying the Mexican American Velasquez would prevail as Cain took Brock out quite impressively might I say in round one.
GOOD OLD FASHION BEATING!
There are so many ways for a guy to lose in MMA, that even a fighter from the planet Krypton sans Krytonite could lose. But looking at the manner in which Velasquez all but “bitch slapped” the defending UFC heavyweight champion makes, one believe that the perceived Superman that was Brock Lesnar turned out to be a defeated Lex Luger. Look, people have been dogging Lesnar ever since his move from pro wrestling to pro fighting, and unjustly so. These are the same guys that rail in Internet chat rooms, calling out a fighter when the only thing a broad majority of the populace have licked, is a stamp!
BEING UNBEATEN IN MMA IS NOT POSSIBLE?
The fact that he rebounded from a submission loss to Frank Mir, whom he was destroying to the point where he made a mistake, destroyed him in the rematch, that and the fact that Shane Carwin hit him over 80 times in round one, and Brock came back to stop the “gassed” Carwin, no matter how much respect you had for Cain, it was hard to back him with bucks, meaning betting some bank on him.
LET ME SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU
Cain Velasquez flat out whipped Brock Lesnar. There was no fluke that took place, Cain, said to be one of the hardest punchers in the history of fighting, that includes boxing, simply beat the snot out of Lesnar. It was a complete ass whipping!
SEE IF CAIN IS AVAILABLE TONIGHT
