“BARE KNUCKLE” BOXING CHAMP QUESTIONED ON INTEGRITY
San Francisco, CA- World heavyweight “Bare Knuckle Boxing” champion Bobby Gunn is drawing some heat as he is set to battle against another bare knuckle guy at an undisclosed location this weekend near Philadelphia. In recent weeks, Gunn has drawn heat in the blogosphere because he is alleged to have fudged some of his colorful background. People are saying that he didn’t fight amateur in Canada, never had the number of fights he claims, people are taking shots at Bobby Gunn. Whether it is true or not, the boxing establishment is trying to squash “Bare Knuckle Boxing” because it poses a threat to the sport that is on life support after the development of the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
TITLE DEFENSE GOING TO BE AT DICK CHENEY’S OLD HOUSE?
Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s home was always referred to as, “an undisclosed location.” That’s the same method of operation this weekend when Gunn defends against a lad named Ernest Jackson, a bodyguard for celebrities and athletes and is a “reported” 30-0 with 30 knockouts as a bareknuckle fighter. The fact that people aren’t being told where it’s going to until the last minute doesn’t jive to me. “An undisclosed location near Philadelphia.” To some this sounds more like an old episode of a con on James Garner’s, “The Rockford Files.” The website they directed the media to www.ibkba.com is “Under Construction” This is the site that claims it will replay Gunn-Jackson soon after it takes place.
