PAVLIK RUNS LIKE FLOYD FROM SONNY?
San Francisco, CA– I can recall reading about the embarrassment Floyd Patterson suffered prior to getting beat by Sonny Liston. Truth be told, Cus D’Amato, who would later launch Mike Tyson into the heavyweight stratosphere, knew that Sonny would kill Floyd if the pair were to meet. BoxRec.com’s computer ranks Espino at #48 in the world, and get this, Pavlik is defending the WBC/WBO titles.

Having been of the mindset that we weren’t getting the full story on Pavlik’s infected hand, I am now even more inclined to believe that this whole thing was some kind of conspiracy to screw over Paul Williams.

Team Pavlik was saying a month ago that they didn’t know if he’d ever fight again. So Paul signs to fight Sergio Martinez and a short time later, Pavlik is cleared to fight Rubio December 19.
KELLY’S LAST DANCE FORGETTABLE
Pavlik hasn’t fought since early 2009 vs. Marco Antonio Rubio (see stiff). After pulling out of three fight dates, two with Williams, you don’t think Pavlik fighting Espino is fishy, to say the least?

Espino, part of the Season 1 Contender cast, Espno lost a UD 5 to Peter Manfredo, as well as a majority decision to Daniel Edouard, both in 2004. But looking at his resume, he is not of truly world class stature.
