Kissimmee Civic Center, Kissimmee, FL– (Telemundo) Alex Sanchez (31-7-1, 21 KOs) vs. Glenn Donaire(17-4-1, 9 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Sanchez 12-5. Brother of World bantamweight champ Nonito Donaire has been driving a bus for three years, having not fought since July 2008. Sanchez lost his last three. Toss up!
Club Ciclista Juninense, Junin, Argentina– Lucas Matthysse (28-2, 26 KOs) vs. Sergio Omar Priotti (25-10-1, 8 KOS) Odds/Prediction: Lucas 8-1. Last minute sub looking at stoppage loss here.
Saturday, December 10, 2011
Convention Center, Washington DC– (HBO) Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KOs) vs. Lamont Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KOs) (WBA & IBF 140 lb. title) Odds/Prediction: Khan 4-1.
Peterson beaten soundly by Tim Bradley, prodigy Khan’s better than Tim I think. Expect Khan to via one-sided paint job.
Seth Mitchell (23-0-1, 17 KOs) vs. Timur Ibragimov (30-3-1, 16 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Mitchell 5-1. Timor, who hasn’t fought in a year is in the “stepping stone” position here. Seth still unproven though.
Anthony Peterson (30-1, 20 KOs) vs. Daniel Attah (26-8-1, 9 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Peterson 14-5. Favorite a DQ loser to Brandon Rios looking to notch KO #21 here.
Civic Center, Atlanta, GA– Roy Jones (54-8, 40 KOs) vs. Max Alexander (14-5-2, 2 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Roy 5-1. Jones is in danger of becoming ring fatality, just not here as Alexander looks like a bum!
Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada– David Lemieux (25-1) vs. Joachim Alcine (32-2-1) Odds/Prediction:
Adonis Stevenson (15-1, 12 KOs) vs. Aaron Pryor Jr. (16-4, 11 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Adonis 7-5. Looks close on paper. Pryor needs a KO to assure victory as going to the cards in Canada can be problematic.
Olympic Hall, Qabala, Azerbaijan– Azad Azizov (25-3-1, 15 KOs) vs. Michele Di Rocco (31-1-1, 13 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Azad 9-5.
Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines– Rey Bautista (31-2, 23 KOs) vs. Miguel Mendoza (17-0-1, 17 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Rey 3 1/2-1. Bautista looks a level better than Mendoza. Dropping $350 to win $100.
Genesis Servania (15-0, 5 KOs) vs. Marcos Cardenas (12-0-1, 9 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Servania 11-5. Powerless Filipino will look to out box unbeaten Mexican.
Sunday, December 11, 2011
Ynares Sports Arena, Manila, Philippines– (PPV) Brian Viloria (29-3, 16 KOs) vs. Giovani Segura (28-1-1, 24 KOs) (WBO 112 lb. title) Odds/Prediction: Segura 8-5. Can Mexican challenger overcome Viloria’s home turf? On paper, Segura looks a tad better than Brian. Going with favorite, but hoping “V” can pull off upset.
Fahsai Sakkreerin (36-2, 20 KOs) vs. Martin Honorio (31-6-1, 16 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Fahsai 13-5. Filipino looks like winner here.
