STUFF YOU WONT READ ELSEWHERE!

One of the IPOD (Ill get to that later) interviews that we will begin putting up here tomorrow at www.RingTalk.com will be a three-minute plus chat with promoter Don King. Don talks about his recent Kidney Stones, and the health of his dear wife Henrietta, now living back in Cleveland. In L.A. to promote 7 foot Nicolay Valuev, who is indeed an imposing figure, Don appeared on Ring Talk Radio, the longest running boxing talk show in history.

AND NOW, THE $64,000 QUESTION & ANSWER

I asked Don, What happened to the hungry black athlete in this country? He lost his work ethic, said King. Not only the hungry black, but the hungry white too, if there is hungry whites that are there.”, KING CONTINUES

“Because they are not working, dedicated, and committed as these eastern bloc fighters are. The opportunity for them to get freedom and to seize the best time and opportunity is unrivaled. And what theyre doing is they work at it like a job 300 days a year dedicated to training and getting prepared whether they have a fight date or not. In America, you got to tell them what date it is, what network has got it. How much money Im going to get. Which they are all salient questions, not before you start training to prepare to fight no matter who itd be. And on any moments notice. We dont do that anymore. We did that with Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Joe Louis, Roberto Duran, but not with the ones that are there today. The fact is now we dont have the (heavyweight) champions, they are mostly from foreign shores.

DON MAJESKI, A YOGI BEAR IN THE BOXING WORLD!

In the old Hanna Barbara cartoon series, Yogi Bear, the lead character was always in the rangers hair. But more importantly, he was smarter than the average bear! Sit down and talk to New York booking agent Don Makeski, originally of the Flash Gordon era, has some ideas on boxing and why it is not on network TV. Majeski also reveals the location of, Malcolm Flash Gordon, pound for pound, one of the greatest minds to ever write about boxing. If I went any further, Id spoil this interview that I think every boxing fan will find intriguing.

THE GHOST IS NO JOKE FOLKS!

If you think that any featherweight on the planet could take the body shots newly crowned IBF 126 lb. champion Robert The Ghost Guerrero hurls, then I think you might be sadly mistaken. The body-punching clinic Robert put on Eric Eiken I believe would also paralyze Juan Manuel Marquez. I know Team Guerrero are looking hard at Bobby Pacquiao, but 2007 could see Guerrero rip through the division. He looks like he is the complete package. In that I mean, he can punch a little, his body punching is the divisions best. He stands 510 in height, takes a good shot, is a southpaw, that can fight both outside and, oh yeah inside too. Just ask Eiken, whose urine was black from blood and had to be transported to a hospital post-fight. Robert Guerrero was also part of the Ring Talk Radio mix as well this past weekend.

GOING TO HAVE INTERVIEWS HERE & THE IPOD TOO!

The idea is to break up my radio show into individual interviews. You can listen to them here at www.RingTalk.com. Or you can use your IPOD to listen to excerpts from Ring Talk Radio while youre on the go!

THE TALE OF TWO HBO BOXING JULIES!

While one Julie just returned from a honeymoon in Bora Bora, another will return to the ring in November. The former Julie Merchant, (daughter of Larry & Patricia Merchant) married a fortnight ago, has returned from honeymoon with hubby Evan. Returning to judging professional boxing in about two months will be Julie Lederman. A post-surgery sinus problem TKOd one of boxings better judges, regardless of gender, and who is of course Harold Ledermans daughter. Julie is proof the apple doesnt fall far from the tree!

PACMAN TO BEGIN TRAINING AFTER BARRERA-JUAREZ

Boxings pound for pound king, Manny Pacquiao will be ringside for the September 16 Marco Antonio Barrera-Rocky Juarez rematch. After that, he will start training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, CA. And before you think Hollywood as in movie stars, the area of Hollywood not too far from the gym is a sexual flea market soon after dark. All kidding aside, should Robert Guerrero pop Bobby Pacquiao like a balloon, couldnt you see Manny wanting revenge?
