WHO WOULD WANT TO WATCH THIS FIGHT AGAIN?
San Francisco, CA– The genius of promoter Bob Arum lining up the Pacquaio-Mosley was thwarted by Shane Mosley totally uninspiring performance against Manny Pacquiao. It was so bad that Black fans, mainly the females at Ricky’s Sports Theater in San Leandro, CA, that they were calling Shane the lazy N-word! Many African-Americans were shamed by Mosley’s lack of effort. And seeing the fight will be re shown on CBS TV in the next week or so, much like the Floyd Mayweather-Oscar De La Hoya high profile fight of 2007, it was such a major turnoff that there is no way it can cultivate new boxing fans.

Besides the win by Jorge Arce over Wilfredo Vasquez Jr., the non-boxing highlight had to be the derrière (ass) of Shane Mosley’s girlfriend Bella Gonzalez! With a butt that rivaled the late Selena and a young Jennifer Lopez, she simply had more guys talking about her ass than the fight, and this even though they only showed it once during the broadcast!

Not only are Shane’s legs shot, his refusal to mix it up in the most prolific fight in years, to me was a disgrace. If the world was right and the ring was truly square, Shane shouldn’t have gotten paid for this non-performance. The admitted cheat should be forced to retire, the record books should erase his win over Oscar De La Hoya in their second meeting, this after BALCO Lab’s Victor Conte’s lawyers made Shane admit that he had taken both steroids, the “Clear & the Cream,” in addition to his using EPO and blood doping. Conte told me that Shane called him pleading for the EPO prior to the Oscar fight. To paraphrase Conte’s quotes, “I need the stuff cause I’m moving up to 154 fot the fight.”
