UFC 92 REALLY HAD THREE MAIN EVENTS

San Leandro, CA– Congratulations to the fine warriors that fought their hearts out for us on Saturday night as UFC 92 emanated from the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas! It was not only an epically stacked card, but not one boring fight all night. None of the major fights went to decision and ended by knockouts!

LIGHT HEAVY BELT CHANGES HANDS

Rashad Evans TKO 3 Forrest Griffin– In the so-calledmain event of the evening, Forrest Griffin (16-4-0) tried to defend himself and his title against Sugar Rashad Evans (17-0-1). This was a beautiful display of some serious ground and pound! The new champ, fighting out of Albuquerque, NM, my hometown, won by TKO in the third round! Early on it appeared Griffins height and reach, but Rashad closed the gap, dropping Forrest before pouncing on him with bunches of punches!

PRETTY BOY BEATS INTERIM CHAMP LIKE DRUM, Frank Mir TKO 2 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (31-4-1), my beastly choice over pretty boy Mir, was defeated by a very much improved Frank Mir (11-3-0). I knew that Mir was going to be hungry but I didnt anticipate how incredibly hungry he would be. Looks like I should keep with my pretty boy picks!
Frank Mir won by TKO in the second round. Mir did well standing and on the ground. Mir unloaded on Antonio with punches on the ground causing the referees stoppage. The interim champ was installed while then champ Randy Couture was having legal problems with the UFC. Now itll be Mir in a rematch with

RAMPAGE WENT ON RAMPAGE

Quinton Jackson KTFO 1 Wanderlei Silva. What do I say about this one??!! I wanted Wanderlei The Axe Murderer Silva (32-8-1) to beat the sh*t out of Quinton Rampage Jackson (28-7-0), but we cant always get what we want for Christmas. I just dont have very much respect for Rampage and all the respect in the world for Silva. Jackson with his outside of the ring activities in check, (he did an OJ taking the LAPD on a slow speed chase, all the while towing a bigger than life picture of himself in billboard fashion) went to the UK to train for this fight and it paid off as he looked awesome. But when the referee called the fight, Rampage still kept punching Silva while he was out cold. Maybe it was out of aggression from the push Silva gave him at the weigh in.

UNDERCARD, ALL BUT ONE WAS A KO!

Matt Hamill TKO 2 Reese Andy Matt The Hammer Hamill (6-2-0) went up against Reese Riptide Andy (7-2-0). I give mad ups to Hamill who really has no corner to speak of since he is deaf in both ears. I admire the fact that when he goes into the Octagon, he really is on his own. Hamill won by technical knock out in the 2nd round.

CB Dollaway TKO 1 Mike Massenzio
“”The Doberman”” Dollaway improves to 8-2. “”The Master of Disaster”” Massenzio drops to 11-2-0.

Cheick Kongo TKO 1 Mostapha Al Turk
Kongo ascends to 22-4-1, Al Turk 6-3.

Yushin Okami UD 3 Dean Lister
Okami now 23-4, Lister is 11-5.
