Chuck Norris & Bruce Lee
San Francisco, CA– There was always a Bay Area connection to the late MMA icon Bruce Lee, as he was born in San Francisco and lived in Oakland. Most of you have no recollection of the man who was the biggest action motion picture star of the 1970s. While his box office hit Enter The Dragon was considered Lee’s best film, they were all financial blockbusters both here and in Asia. As a young kid, Lee went to Hong Kong and began studying Kung Fu, before coming back to California and going to college.
“GREEN HORNET” WAS THE BEST BRUCE LEE FOR ME!
Van Williams & Bruce Lee
For one season, ABC, trying to piggyback the success of Batman with Adam West and
Burt Ward, came with The Green Hornet, a comic book superhero played by Van Williams. Lee, in the role of Kato, Williams’ sidekick, stole the show which ended after one run. In some countries, The Green Hornet was instead called The Kato Show. Today, we at RingTalk.com honor the great Bruce Lee who died in 1973 of suspicious circumstances. Some say it was a bad reaction to pain medication, others say the Chinese mob did him in!
