SATURDAY PAY PER VIEW HAS GRIFF-EVANS, SILVA-QUINTON, & MIR-NOGUEIRA
Forrest Griffin 16-4 (3 KOs, 7 SUBs) vs. Rashad Evans 12-0-1 (4 KOs, 2 SUBs) This fight should be a good one, with the natural talent and athleticism of Rashad Evans against the ultra tough, never say die style of Forrest Griffin. Both men are coming off wins that have put them on a collision course with one another. Griffin bested Quinton Jackson to take the light heavyweight title while Rashad Evans knocked Chuck The Iceman Liddell out cold. Evans always seems to do enough to win and has improved with every bout. Griffin will do as he always does; lay it all on the line and never quit. This is a tough one to call, but a better one to watch! Prediction: Evans by Split Decision in five., Wanderlei Silva 32-8-1 (23 KOs, 3 SUBs) vs. Quinton Jackson 28-7 (13 KOs, 7 SUBs) These two vicious fighters will get it on for a third time against one another on Saturday. Jackson has showed suspect behavior since losing his title to Griffin, such as his incident involving several hit and runs while driving his F-350 truck like a mad man. Silva on the other hand, may be older than he was and may have taken on more damage in his fights since his Pride FC days, but I feel he has Jacksons number-simple as that.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 30-4-1 (2 KOs, 20 SUBs) vs. Frank Mir 11-3 (1 KO, 7 SUBs) This match pits a very good submission fighter in that of Frank Mir against one of the best ever submission fighters in Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. As good as Mir is on the ground, I dont think he wants any part of Nogueiras ground game. Mir should look for an opening early while on his feet and try to catch Nogueira with strikes, but at the same time be cautious as all of Mirs losses are by knockout. Once it hits the ground, it is game over for somebody, most likely Mir. Prediction: Nogueira by Submission.
CB Dollaway 7-1 (4 KOs, 2 SUBs) vs. Mike Massenzio 11-2 (1 KO, 6 SUBs) In Dollaways last bout he was very impressive in submitting Jesse Taylor via a Peruvian necktie. It was a good showing after his loss to Amir Sadollah in the Ultimate Fighter 7 series finale. He will be taking on a tough submission artist in his own right in Mike Massenzio. Dollaway should be able to take this one against Massenzio but one cant get too comfortable against such a game opponent. Prediction: Dollaway by TKO.

Cheick Kong 12-4-1 (7 KOs, 2 SUBs) vs. Mustapha Al Turk 6-3 (4 KOs, 2 SUBs) Kongo has had his ups and downs and is looking to continue an upward trend by taking on Englands Mustapha Al Turk. Both men are very large physical masses and both have serious KO power in all their extremities. This match up should be entertaining as long as both men agree to exchange. Prediction: Kongo by TKO.
