HBO MAIN EVENT HAD SURPRISING FINISH!
Atlantic City, NJ– Sergio Martinez, (157.5 lbs), Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina KO 2 Paul Williams, (156), Akon, SC (WBC 160 lb title) In a rematch of their all action fight of last year, which ended in a controversial majority decision loss for Sergio Martinez (46-2-2, 28 KOs), the Argentine threw a thunderous left that exploded off of Williams’ chin (39-2, 27 KOs). Williams went down in a heap and didn’t move for the ten count. The fight was called at 1:10. Williams was in control until he got clipped!
