ASKING TOO MUCH OF EVEN SUPERMAN
Pacquiao Throwing, Margarito Catching
San Francisco, CA– Having fought professionally now since President Bill Clinton’s first term, 15 years, Manny Pacquiao has went from rags to riches, from preliminary fighter to bring World champion in more weight classes than anyone else can claim, the fiery Filipino has done it all! And before you Pacnuts start swearing in Tagalog, did you hear Manny talking about how he was hurting after the fight?
ONE CAN’T FATHOM THE TRAINING
These grueling training camps both in Los Angeles and the Philippines in which Manny prepares for battle, you don’t see the pain, the sweat, the heart that goes into getting in the absolute best shape you can, this takes a lot out of you. The average fan watches three minutes of Manny training on TV and doesn’t realize it’s not as easy as it looks in the video clip.
PACQUIAO THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP
NOT!
What does Manny have left to prove? Watching British TV’s coverage of Pacquiao-Margarito, they talked of him going to 160 lbs. and fighting at middleweight. As historical and glamorous as that sounds, Manny fighting either Sergio Martinez or Paul Williams, Pacquiao fighting either of those guys would just not be fair.
PACNUTS ARE COOL, BUT PACBUTTS ARE NOT!
I admire you Pacnuts, but don’t be Pacbutts and try and goad your guy into an unenviable position of fighting at 160. I think Manny is an amazing athlete, but there are instances in which size is insurmountable.
WATCHING MANNY BEATEN BY SIZE NOT WORTH IT
The acclaimed “king of boxing” is also a Philippine Congressman, something he takes great pride in. As much of a lift as Pacquiao is to the Philippine people, his getting starched or beaten down badly by a middleweight would be nightmarish.
MAYWEATHER FIGHT NO LONGER IMPORTANT!
With Floyd Mayweather Jr. being prosecuted on Domestic Violence charges, this in addition to his allegedly striking a security guard in recent days, I say to myself, “Who gives a s*it about Floyd Mayweather anyway?”
PACMAN IN TOTAL CONTROL OF BOXING
If he wants to fight Pacquiao, promoter Bob Arum should make it an Asian based event in either the Philippines or Macau, and make feaful Floyd cross the pond to do so!
NOTHING LEFT BUT A “MOP UP” OF J.M. MARQUEZ!
Although his style had proved extremely difficult for Pacquiao, in drawing and losing on points in two fights, Juan Manuel Marquez is the only guy out there for Pacman. Fight JMM at 140 and say goodbye Manny.
LOOK AT OSCAR AFTER THE PAC FIGHT
You can do what both Ray Leonard and Oscar De La Hoya swore they’d never do, go out of boxing with a devastating loss, of which they both did. Pacman, let history and common sense be guide your guide here!
