PAC WINS IN ROUT

(vacant WBC 154 championship) After a controversy over a mystery drink in Margarito’s hands, Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs) was a non-stop human punching machine against an unusually inactive Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs). A defenseless Margarito couldn’t keep pace with Pacquiao. Margarito’s face was a bloody mess after twelve unbelievably lopsided rounds the unnecessary scorecards read 120-108, 119-109, and 118-110.

Mike Jones, (145.5), Philadelphia, PA MD 10 Jesus Soto Karass, (148 lbs), Los Angeles, CA. Jones (23-0, 18 KOs) hurt Karass (24-5-3, 16 KOs) in the second and went for broke only to punch himself out. Fighting mainly on the outside Jones aught his second wind while a bloodied Karass couldn’t. Cards were 94-94, 95-94, and 97-92 .
CUBAN GETS CLOSE NOD
Guillermo Rigondeaux, (121), Miami, FL SD 12 Ricardo Cordoba, (121.25), San Miguelito, Panama. Rigondeaux (7-0, 5 KOs) and Cordoba (37-2-2, 23 KOs) both suffered knockdowns in separate rounds but last the full twelve. Cordoba was dropped in the fourth from a body shot while Rigondeaux’s glove touched the canvas in the sixth. After that Rigondeaux boxed well and landed enough to earn the win. The cards were 117-109 and 114-112 for Rigondeaux, while the third went to Cordoba at 114-112.
Brandon Rios, (140.25), Oxnard, CA TKO 5 Omri Lowther, (137.5 lbs), Toronto, CA. Rios (26-0-1, 19 KOs) used Lowther (14-3, 10 KOs) as a human punching bag. As the punishment mounted the referee Raul Caiz Jr. stoppped it at 2:17.
WBA HEAVYWEIGHT BELT IN UK
Manchester, England– David Haye, (210.5), London, England TKO 3 Audley Harrison, (253.5), Westlake Village, England
(WBA heavyweight title) Haye (25-1, 23 KOs) in a display of complete domination Haye destroys the unwilling to fight Harrison (27-5, 20 KOs). After a knockdown of Harrison and a follow up onslaught by Haye this mismatch ended at 1:53.

Omar Figueroa, (134.5), Weslaco, TX Arturo Quintero, (147), Las Vegas, NV. Figueroa (10-0-1, 8 KOs) and Quintero (15-4-1, 9 KOs) ends up in a hard fought eight round draw in a give and take battle. Scores were 77-75 for Figueroa, 77-75 fro Quintero and 76-76.
VANDA BEATEN IN JERSEY

Duran (25-8-2, 9 KOs) completely dominates a washed up Vanda (43-12, 23 KOs). Scorecards were 100-90 twice and 99-90.
MANFREDO MOVES ON
Lincoln, RIPeter Manfredo Jr., (161), Providence, RI TKO 6 Jhon Berrio, (159), Monteria, Colombia Manfredo Jr. (36-6, 20 KOs) although dominating the fight was a little off his game the first couple of rounds. Once he got on track the limited Berrio (15-8, 11 KOs) had no answer for Manfredo Jr., relentless body attack Berrio quit on his stool between rounds six and seven because of apparent broken ribs.
