CLASSY COTTO WITH SIZZLING BEAUTY
Cartegena, Colombia– Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto, 38-2, 28 KOs, sat a few feet away from me during the final feast here at the WBO Convention #23. Not only was the lady with him incredibly beautiful, but Cotto’s friend had a show stopper too! All the beautiful women in Colombia, (and there are a lot) and two Puerto Rican chicks nearly cause a nuclear meltdown. Oh and Cotto, he was warm and cordial with everyone.
NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THE DRESS CODE
Upon my arrival at the closing ceremonies of the WBO Convention #23 , I at first thought I was at the wrong party. Perplexed, it turns out that everybody was supposed to wear some white. All the way down to my blue briefs, no white clothing. Turns out about 20 people stood out among this sea of bright white as the sun came down poolside.

As a press agent for a few, I have to mention one client that I personally caught cheating at the WBO Convention. Actually, there were two individuals who thought they were slick. First there was Eric Gomez of Golden Boy Promotions. Matchmaker Gomez walks up, sees the long line for food, stops, looks around a couple of times, doesn’t see anybody important and then cuts in line. My client, one Sean Gibbons, he too did the same thing by sneaking around the back of the line and cutting in from the right. On a sympathetic note, it should be both noted both individuals have greatly increased their caloric intake of late!
COLOMBIAN HOSTS WERE COOL & EXTRA SAFE!
Boy, they don’t mess around at the Hotel Caribe. I invited a Cartegena attorney to a WBO party, and the doorman may have thought she was a working girl as they don’t let women in without checking in. She rebuffed him nicely. They are trying to prevent something that occurred in Las Vegas, NV, where two separate women in two separate instances, put “knockout drops” on their breasts before robbing both “Sugar Ray” Leonard and promoter Cedric “I Was The Walrus” Kushner. All together now, LOL!

While watching things happen around me in my short stay in Colombia, I thought it was cool how the press, and especially the politicos, they had unbridled respect for both WBO President Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel and referee Joe “Fair But Firm” Cortez.
