WILL VERSUS SET RATINGS RECORD TONIGHT?

Las Vegas, NV– An entertaining (on paper) MMA card headlined by a World Extreme Cagefighting title fight will air live on Versus TV tonight.  At stake will be the bantamweight (135 lbs) belt as Dominick Cruz (15-1, 6 KOs, 1 SUB) makes his first defense since lifting the belt from Brian Bowles (8-1, 3 KOs, 5 SUBs) last March.  He will risk the WEC diadem against Joseph Benavidez (12-1, 3 KOs, 7 SUBs), a man with whom he met and defeated via unanimous decision a year ago in the fight of the night at WEC 42.  I suspect the same winner, but wouldn’t be surprised to see Cruz stop Benavidez this time around.  Cruz will likely utilize his range to keep his much shorter opponent at bay while Benavidez tries to fight his way inside.  Regardless of what happens, if it is anything like their first fight, it is sure to entertain.  Tune in tonight (check your local TV guide for time on Versus TV) and check it out along with the rest of the action!
