Las Vegas, NV– Only in Nevada can “overweight” fighters apply their trade even if they don’t make the contracted weight. In this instance, Joan Guzman, a former World class fighter at 130 lbs., weighed in at 144 for a 135 lb. IBF title go with Ali Funeka this past Saturday night on HBO’s Boxing After Dark. KIETH KIZER INSURES “THE PROMOTER’S SHOW” MUST GO ON!

Instead of setting an example and suspending Guzman, Mr. Keith Kizer, the aforementioned and seemingly impotent man in charge of the Nevada Athletic Commission, he allows the fight to go forward after imposing a fine against Guzman. In closing, this is yet another black mark for boxing in Nevada under what has become the Keith Kizer regime.
