ROUSEY THREATENS STATUS OF SOME MEN

San Francisco, CA– Having had my finger on the pulse of the MMA world since shortly after the first UFC show in 1993, and the boxing game decades prior to that, I’ve never seen an athlete, excuse me, a female athlete get under the skin of the opposing sex as Ronda Rousey has.
LET’S TAKE A HARD LOOK AT RONDA
Just 28 years old, the UFC bantamweight (135 lb.) champion from Glendale, CA, while unbeaten in MMA at 11-0, nobody has lasted the distance, be it three-five minute round fights or the championship/main event route of five-five minute sessions of battle. The not hard to look at Miesha Tate lasted 10:58, or :58 seconds into round three.
“ROWDY ONE” NOT RESTING ON JUDO LAURELS
The first American woman to ever Medal in Olympic Judo, Rousey got the Bronze in 2008. She surrounds herself with a team of Armenian judo trainers and the legendary “King of Grappling & Submission” Gene Labell. Retired (unbeaten) female boxer Lucia Ryjker is Ronda’s striking coach.
ROUSEY WILL BE QUEEN OF SILVER SCREEN
Ronda has done movies, TV, made a slew of commercials and six months ago signed a seven $igure pact with Reebok. Her Hollywood future is certain while her continuing to fight is not. Right now, she is the hottest commercial name in combat sports, and that includes Floyd Mayweather, who because of whacking dames around (Domestic Violence) isn’t asked to plug products.
LAILA ALI COULDN’T FIGHT MUCH & YET…..
The daughter of Muhammad Ali, Leila Ali talked a lot of smack and did very little to back it up. Rousey on the other hand cleans out the world of MMA and is primed to become the biggest female action movie star of all time. Think “Female Terminator.”
RONDA WILL FIGHT ANYONE…ANYONE!
And unlike Ali, who avoided the best girl in boxing Ann Wolfe to the point where she made me explain who Wolfe was at a Washington DC press gathering for Mike Tyson-Kevin McBride, Ronda fights anybody they put in front of her.
THE BEEF SOME GUYS HAVE WITH RONDA
Most people reading this cannot fight, have never fought or made a mark in MMA which includes boxing in it’s definition. A lot of you have guts (not the intestinal fortitude type) and think your a tough guy, thus you cannot even entertain the notion, no the reality, that this 135 lb. chick can kick your ass.
“I CAN KICK THAT B****’S ASS”
When I talk to Black men, these being my street guys for the most part, not all, but a majority have disdain for Rousey to the point where they ignorantly belittle her abilities and background sans knowing anything about her other than she is a white MMA fighter that doesn’t like Floyd Mayweather. Some white guys with whom I’ve brought Ronda up make cracks and roll their eyes.
FLOYD IS WHY BLACK MEN DON’T LIKE RONDA?
She has “dogged” Mayweather and capped it Wednesday night when she won the “2015 ESPY Best Fighter” award over Floyd, Gennady Golovkin and UFC fighter Donald Cerrone. After winning the award, she said, “This is the first time a woman ever beat Floyd Mayweather.”
BADDEST MAN ON PLANET SAYS “SHE REMINDS ME OF ME”
One Black guy that has incredible respect for the #4 “P4P” MMA fighter today is former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. Earlier today, Tyson who unlike some of the guys I’ve talked to, realizes Rousey is a dominant athlete unseen since the days of Iron Mike.
TYSON TALKS ABOUT “RONDA THE KILLER”
“Ronda, she’s a lady. Polite, kind, sweet and adorable,” Tyson said. “But her whole barometer is, she’s a killer. She has that killer aura, meaning anything is capable of happening. Whoa! That’s exciting before the fight even starts. I think of myself when I watch her.”
