Chris “The Murderer” Benoit
DEADLY WEEKEND OF JUNE 22, 23, 24, & 25, 2007
San Francisco, CA– It was June 22, 2007, a Friday, and apparently the last day of life for Nancy Benoit, mother of 10-year old Daniel Benoit and the wife of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) star Chris Benoit. When she was found three days later by a neighbor and police, her body, because of the summer heat of Fayetteville, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, combined with the air conditioner not being utilized, had already begun to decompose.
“SUFFOCATED” NANCY KILLED ON FRIDAY
With Nancy dying from suffocation on Friday, so say authorities, little Daniel, thought by some to be autistic, something Chris vehemently denied, was given the drug Xanax, apparently by his father, this either late Friday or Saturday morning, which is an anti-anxiety drug that can cause drowsiness and induce sleep.
THE “CRYPTIC TEXT” FROM NANCY TO CHRIS
Nancy Benoit had been fighting with Chris for months over his violent mood swings she thought was brought on by his Steroid use. She even told a friend shortly before her death, “If anything happens to me, make sure people know Chris did it.” On May 10, 2007, she sent him the following text, which in itself is an indictment of Vince McMahon’s WWE Steroid “Wellness Program,” which was put into place after the death of Chris’ best friend Eddie Guerrero in 2005. The program was “allegedly” designed to make sure that WWE talent were not using Steroids and the like. Said Nancy in the text to Chris, “Grow up (be) forty years old for mighty sakes. Get off the stuff. It’s obvious, I’m probably not the only one who can see and we both know the (WWE’s) wellness program is a joke.”

NOT “TAKIN’ CARE OF BUSINESS” AT HOME
I remember my brutally honest and sometimes crude father telling me when I was like 12, “Never get up, until she’s done, and you’ll never lose a girlfriend.” It took me a while to figure out what the late Pedro C. Fernandez meant. Well, as it turns out Chris wasn’t even “getting down, before getting up” for his wife. Nancy, being the outspoken bold free-thinker that she was told him flat out that he wasn’t putting out. Not a dummy, Nancy was almost certain why this was(n’t) happening. Her thinking was that Chris was having an affair with WWE wrestler Michelle McCool, something that really hit home when she attended a WWE show a fortnight before the double murder-suicide.
NANCY GOT HIP TO CHRIS’ SEX LIFE AT WWE SHOW!
People were “walking on egg shells” around her, avoiding eye contact, etc., so for Nancy this seemed to further confirm that Chris was indeed sleeping with McCool. According to insiders, the Benoit-McCool affair was not the best kept secret in the WWE.
NANCY’S HUBBY PUT “CHRIS & NANCY” TOGETHER
With Chris lacking any real charm or on camera charisma, former wrestler Kevin Sullivan, the then booker for the now defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) brand came up with a story line with Nancy, then Sullivan’s wife, Nancy Sullivan, who worked under husband Kevin as a wrestling valet dubbed “Woman.”
KEVIN SULLIVAN SCRIPTED AFFAIR THAT LED TO DIVORCE
Kevin laid out a storyline in which Nancy would have an “on TV” affair with Benoit. This put her in the speaking role of the duo, because as I stated previously, the charmless Chris Benoit did not do good TV promos, whether it came to selling himself or an upcoming match. In hindsight, Sullivan may go down in history as the only man who choreographed his own divorce as the on-screen romance became a real life love affair as Nancy left Sullivan and later married Chris Benoit.
GOING BACK TO THAT MURDEROUS WEEKEND
With Nancy suffocating or being choked on Friday, Chris, as I said, drugged his ten-year old son Daniel and then, according to Forensic authorities in a horrible case or irony, Chris slapped his famous “Cross Face Choke Hold” on Daniel and killed him by breaking his neck. What was this animal thinking?
LITTLE DANIEL JUST A LITTLE OFF POINT
As I alluded to earlier, Daniel was not exactly your normal 10-year old boy. Like actor John Travolta denying for years his late son was suffering from Autism, people close to the Benoit’s theorize that Chris killed Daniel because with his mother having been murdered by his father, he would have no parents, whether Chris was incarcerated or were to kill himself, as he did.
BENOIT NO-SHOWED WWE SHOW THAT SATURDAY
With the WWE throwing a “house” show (live wrestling sans TV) in Beaumont, TX, the powers that be in the WWE knew something was up as Benoit had never been late, let alone ever missed a match. Chris told WWE officials, just like he had told Nancy’s friend and next door neighbor Holly, that both Nancy and Daniel were going to seek medical attention, this because of a bad bout of “Food poisoning, that had both of them throwing up blood.” So the WWE pulled Chris off the Beaumont show and he assured then he would make the big Pay Per View match at Vengeance the following night in Houston, TX. That was the last time anybody talked with Benoit.
Chavo & Vickie Guerrero, The Late Eddie’s Wife
REVEALING TEXT MESSAGES IGNORED
Around 16 hours before the bell was set to ring Sunday at Vengeance in Houston, Chris started sending cryptic text messages to fellow wrestler Chavo Guerrero, the late Eddie Guerrero’s brother-like nephew, as well as ex-wrestler turned referee Scott Armstrong. Both messages stated the same thing. “My physical address is 130 Green Meadow Lane, Fayetteville, Georgia.” Benoit continued, “The dogs are in the enclosed pool area. Garage side door is open.”
NOBODY DID ANYTHING!
It doesn’t take a psychic that Chris was calling out for some kind of help or assistance. In fact, after the text messages and then Benoit missing the WWE “Vengeance” PPV card in which he was scripted to win the Extreme Championship Wrestling title, which is by far the lesser of the three WWE brands. Nobody from the WWE contacted the Fayetteville Sheriff’s Office until around noon ET on Monday, June 26.
40, HOOKED ON ROIDS, CURTAIN COMING DOWN
Even if he were to have been given (won) the ECW title at Vengeance, everybody in the business knew it was a demotion. Being pulled from the major shows, Raw & Smackdown, the writing was on the wall in Sharpie-like ink. To hear talk like this, Benoit responded, “I don’t care, as long as I’m wrestling.”
LIKE DROPPING TO THE MINOR LEAGUES
In the big picture, the ECW title didn’t mean squat. Benoit had making about $600,000 a year, and nobody had talked to him about his pay being decreased. But deep down inside, Benoit could see the future being drawn by the Sharpie. (The photograph at the right is Benoit at his zenith, winning the WWE title with Eddie Guerrero) If you looked at this realistically, Benoit, although he had a few more years left in him, he could read the tea leaves sans bifocals and come to the realization that the he was no longer going to be considered a superstar.
PART III FORTHCOMING SUNDAY
With those cryptic messages telling Chavo and Armstrong just how to get into the Benoit house without being eaten by his two German Shepherds, through the side garage door, and Chris not answering any phone calls or texts from WWE executives, one would think the WWE would have realized the obvious that something was seriously wrong, especially when Benoit didn’t show up for the big Vengeance PPV card in Houston.
CORPORATE WWE SUITS SAT ON HANDS
Why didn’t these heartless corporate pricks have alert the police? As it turns out, the WWE security chief didn’t even call the Fayetteville officials until around noon ET on Monday, June 25, almost 36 hours after the cryptic text messages and nearly 48 hours after Benoit missed the Beaumont, TX gig.
