HBO LIVE STUB HUB FIGHT CENTER!
San Francisco, CA– Although it was “Boxing Light” this weekend, Tim Bradley and Jessie Vargas engaged in a spirited battle for 12 fistic frames before Bradley emerged with a Unanimous Decision 12 in a bout for the interim WBO 147 lb. title.
EVEN IN NUMBERS BUT TIM WINNING ROUNDS
Through the first four rounds, the punch output was almost even in spite of Bradley bering up 3-1 in rounds. A 4-1 favorite was Bradley who forced the action as the smaller man. And while they exchanged some heavy blows, don’t forget they only had 21 KOs between going in, Bradley 12, Vargas 9, thus there wasn’t a lot of damage.
BRADLEY BEGAN “BANKING OF ROUNDS” EARLY
An uneventful, but again “spirited” battle moved into the 12th and final round. Vargas pulled some out some lightning that had Bradley wobbling and prepping for a Mexican hat dance with about 10 seconds to go. Scores were 116-112, 117-111, 115-112, all for Bradley who is 32-1-1, 12 KOs. Vargas declines to 26-0, 9 KOs.
HOTSHOT MEXICAN FEATHER GETS “NEEDED WORK”
