MULTI-TALENTED OSCAR WINNER TAKES ON “IRON MIKE” ROLE
New York, NY– According to a recent report actor/comedian/musician Jamie Foxx is slated to star as former heavyweight champion, “Iron Mike” Tyson in a forthcoming biopic movie. Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop is certainly no stranger to portraying various characters throughout his career. The entertainer is known for his stand up comedy acts, various roles on the TV show In living Color and his own self titled sitcom. He has also released three full length LP’s and has enjoyed success in the music world as an R&B singer.
41-YEAR OLD ACTOR HAS TYSON’S FULL SUPPORT
Foxx has comically portrayed Tyson in skits and on stage the past. Despite making fun of Tyson, Foxx has built a solid relationship with the former champion and has spoken to him on several occasions about the movie. The film will reportedly to be produced by Foxx himself has Mike’s blessing. Foxx hopes to reconnect with director, Taylor Hackford who directed Foxx’s biggest on screen success to date. In 2004 Foxx won an Oscar for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the biopic film, Ray.
