NO “MEANER” GUY THAN FLOYD
San Francisco, CA– Having had the pleasure and talent to write for others to read in 1972, I’ve witnessed some despicable acts. That being said, as a member of the media and former Policeman in this City by The Bay, I’ve seen evil people who for no reason other than he or she had the ability, inflict emotional, physical or financial harm on those undeserving.
CHEAP SHOTS ARE FLOYD’S MIDDLE NAME
Floyd Mayweather has pulled some cheap shots in his time, and no not the Victor Ortiz two-punch salvo after Ortiz dropped his hands that followed his trying to spear Floyd with a head butt. His Christmas card to Manny Pacquiao was degrading and a demonstration of his lack of class. But today I want to talk about the river of truculence that runs through Floyd Mayweather’s veins. The manner in which he as addressed Manny Pacquiao of late, be it on Twitter or with the media, was some of the ugliest bile I have seen in a long time.
FLOYD HAS DISPLAYED LITTLE CLASS!
Mayweather has called Manny names, made fun of his tax woes, essentially laying out there the notion that unless Manny Pacquiao crawls through broken glass, kiss Floyd’s ass, and then possibly have Mayweather spit in his Manny’s face and walk away. His continually demeaning of the fiery Filipino phenom is as mean, truculent and evil like Muhammad Ali mercilessly pounding on Ernie Terrell, a Chicago challenger who kept calling Ali by his birth name, Cassius Clay.
TERRELL WAS “CARRIED” AND PUNISHED BY ALI IN HOUSTON
Much like Ali who kept bellowing, “What’s my name?” to Terrell as he pummeled the over matched challenger. If I remember the fight correctly, Ernie didn’t call him Ali, even though he was taking a beating as Ali was mean and vicious far beyond his usual ornery self, it was Ali at his ugliest. This was not the man of peace he would become later in life. On this evening he was infuriated, feeling Terrell was disrespecting his name and his religion. In 1993, almost 30 years after the fact, Ali told me that would he did was wrong.
FLOYD IS ACTING LIKE HE’S REALLY A PUSS!
Floyd Mayweather is either an Oscar award winning actress, and he really has plans to fight Manny Pacquiao in September, or he is the biggest creep to have put on the boxing gloves since imprisoned jr. middle (154 lb.) Tony Ayala. He seems almost intent on making Manny commit to flagrante delicto for mere consideration. Being much like Leonardo da vinci says, “I dream painting and then I paint my dreams.” That same theory applies to my writing as these are the thoughts I woke up with this morning.
BOTTOM LINE HERE
Floyd knows Manny has financial (tax) issues, much like Floyd did ten years ago. But had people urinated on Floyd when he also had tax woes, like he is pissing on Manny Pacquiao today, there might be no mega-million dollar Showtime contract. There could be two huge fights here, a rematch if Pacquiao wins and or the first fight was entertaining and competitive. The fight would do more for the sport of boxing than anything I or anybody else could conjure up, be it in or out of the ring.
STILL WON’T BUY AMIR KHAN FIGHT
In closing, if this is not a ruse, Floyd is no more than a mean spirited prick who let the world down!
