CANADA’S BUTE TOO SMALL FOR 175

San Francisco, CALucien Bute has had a good run until late. Having ten IBF 168 lb. title defenses against guys most of you cannot name. In one defense, Librado Andrade, who according to boxing historian Ron Marshall was the victim of “Some Dickie Cole-like s*it” the first time when Andrade knocked Bute out with two seconds left in the final round and referee Marlon B. Wright stopped the count he says Bute could “Not have beaten,” all because Andrade was allegedly not close enough to the neutral corner. The fight was over.

BUTE HAS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF!

Southpaw Bute, who was in control except for the last round, schooled Andrade in a rematch soon thereafter. The other guys on the Bute resume include wins over current WBC guy Sakio Bika, ancient ex-champ middleweight (160) William Joppy, with his most telling

win being a TKO 3 of Edison Miranda. Marshall says he can’t beat any of the top ten guys at 168 and is too small at 175. Having been stopped at 168 by Carl Froch, at the age of 33, being 31-2, 24 KOs, the Romanian born Canadian has had a great time and has been good for Canadian boxing, and to walk away now might be perfect pugilistic timing.

MAYEATHER MAY END UP ASHAMED OF FLOYD!

Most of you know I rode Manny Pacquiao like a plow horse over his refusal to adhere to Random Drug Testing some three years ago after Floyd Mayweather had agreed to Pacquiao’s demands for multi-million dollar penalties for every pound Floyd was over 147. Okay, that was then and now some 36 months later the time could not be better for the fight. Only Floyd doesn’t want it unless Manny Pacquiao takes peanuts for pay and at the same time kisses Mayweather’s ring hand.

HISTORIANS MAY NOT BE KIND

People are marveled by the speed and fluidity Floyd Mayweather displays in a boxing ring, as am I. But I don’t think he was ever as good as Ray Leonard. Lack of killer instinct, a reluctance, or perhaps the mental inability to “Gamble for Greatness” as “Sugar Ray” put it. Floyd wants the inferior so he can use them like pugilistic props in a stage play when the real challenger for Mayweather is WBA middleweight guy Gennady Golvkin (28-0, 25 KOs), who stated he will fight Mayweather at 154 lbs., and Manny Pacquiao.

AMIR KHAN-MAYWEATHER BOYCOTT NEED HAPPEN!

The Amir Khan-Floyd Mayweather noise being floated about fr a May bout is nauseating for everybody except a handful of Brits who think the once-teenage phenom tagged for ultimate boxing supremacy can recapture the magic against a sooner than later to be 37-year old Mayweather. I think that serious fight fans who have paid money to see Floud perform, TOTALLY boycott the Amir Khan card and put Mayweather in what would at least put him in a position to where he would in fact need Manny Pacquiao.

BOXING FANS, DO YOU HAVE THE BALLS?

So here is the proposition: A total Floydcott of the Maywaether-Khan fight proposed for May. If we could get the numbers down to less than 1/2 million, we will have made the necessary statement that you’re tired of watching Mayweather calling the shots. Are you hypnotized by Mayweather that you’ll buy this fight? Calling out all fight fans, do you have the balls to pull a Floyd-cott?
