WORST NEWS I COULD EVER PRINT!
San Francisco, CA– Having been around the boxing game for some 40 years, I can honestly say that I had never met a finer human being than Genaro Hernandez. Two-time World champion, a man that lost two fights, one to Oscar De La Hoya and the other to Floyd Mayweather, there was nobody in the fight game with more class and dignity than Genaro.
GENARO HINTED AT THE WORST ON “RING TALK”
A fortnight ago, Genaro told me while appearing on “Ring Talk Worldwide,” that the Cancer was spreading throughout his body. To me, it sounded as if he was ready to throw in the towel. Well, it appears that is now the case as Genaro has suspended all radiation and chemotherapy treatments as the cancer has spread to the point where the battle Genaro is fighting cannot be won.

I will call him in the morning and see if Genaro is up to appearing on the radio with me. Unlike other reporters, writers, talk show hosts, Genaro was part of the “Ring Talk Worldwide” family long before he got sick. As I write this, I am in tears, because as an orator and writer of my stature, you would think that I should be able to put forth more verbiage than I have here. But I’m sorry I just can’t!
