Savage & Miss Elizabeth In Happier Days
POP CULTURE ICON HAS REPORTED HEART ATTACK
San Francisco, CA– One of the most popular figures in sports entertainment history, Randy Savage, born Randy Poffo, died Friday after suffering a heart attack and running his vehicle into a tree in Florida.
LITTLE DOUBT OF HIS SUPERSTAR STATUS
When the “Macho Man” spoke, people listened. He was famous for his “Oh Yeah” quote and did a series of TV commercials, most notably for the “Slim Jim” beef jerky sausage product. No matter what condition he was in, and yes, he played hurt a lot, Randy Savage always gave the fans a good, if not great show.
RANDY & MISS ELIZABETH WERE “HOUSEHOLD” NAMES”
His ex and now deceased wife, Miss Elizabeth, AKA Elizabeth Hurlette, the two were media icons for several years beginning in 1985 and running through most of the 90s. His patented move of humping off the ring post and landing on his hip as his elbow was across his opponents throat, that really damaged Savage severely and permanently. Ironically, Elizabeth Hurlette died in the home of ex-wrestler Lex Lugar from a drug overdose several years ago.
