Fairfield, CA– Before a standing room only crowd at the Fairfield Sports Center, former nationally ranked amateur Brandon Gonzales of nearby Sacramento, went eight rounds with Lester Gonzalez Friday night to win with scores of 79-73 & 78-74. With Telefutura airing the show live, legendary promoter Don Chargin and Golden Boy Promotions, Gonzales went to 14-0 (10 KOs) and set up a February 11 fight at this same venue, or a larger site if one is available. The Cuban born Lester Gonzalez, now a Californian, had his moments, but he could sustain any offense and dropped to 11-2-1, 6 KOs.
