In August 2014, Jonathan “War Machine” Koppenhaver nearly killed his then girlfriend and porn star Christy Mack in an attack so violent, well the picture says it all. “War Machine,” who fought for both Bellator and UFC, says he was forced out by UFC President Dana White after “War” (now his legal name) blogged that Evan Tanner, who was found dead in a California desert, committed suicide because his career was over and he was broke.
HBO WANTED UFC “BAD” & “CONTROL FREAK” DANA KILLED IT
Let me preface this portion of this report with the following. HBO lobbied “hard” for the UFC but came up short reportedly due to the fact that UFC czar Dana White would not allow HBO to hire an independent team of broadcasters, as Dana mandated that his “house” guys call the fights and HBO. unlike FOX, Spike & FX Cable, held their ground.

Thus, I can see the HBO Real Sports segment as a “Hit Piece” on MMA because they don’t have the UFC, because I don’t know what you’ve been told, but what HBO wants, HBO damn near always gets!
HBO SEGWAYS FROM “NUTTY WARRIOR” TO ANTI-MMA SCRIBE
David Smith was the HBO Real Sports reporter, who in the shooting of “Domestic Violence & MMA Fighters” allowed himself to be “choked out.” He then went on an MSNBC rant that caused host Michael Dyson to make viewers think that the average MMA fighter poses a greater threat to society than even an ISIS fighter.
DOUBT (SKEWERED?) MMA DOMESTIC VIOLENCE NUMBERS
According to HBO, the National rate for Male Domestic Abusers is 360 for each 100,000 men or per capita. The NFL of Roger Goddell, the gridiron guys reportedly check in at 210 per 100,000. The shocking number attributed to MMA fighters is 750 per capita, twice the National numbers and over better than 300 % greater than the NFL.
UFC IN PILE OF MEDIA DUNG RIGHT NOW
With the Reebok deal being the “disdain” of seemingly UFC fighters across the board, the HBO piece, a Class Action lawsuit, the Dept. of Justice reportedly investigating White and company on a number of fronts, and White just becoming more and more of a pariah in the media, both social and mainstream, in addition to just NOT being liked by many people.
DANA WILL NOT “WIPE HIS SHOES”
Never one to wipe his feet at the door, Dana White has a favorability mark that is probably lower than the 2015 Republican led Congress who has a 19 % positive rating. White, the face of the UFC and a regular guy before the private jet, etc., is not liked by many, including many a suit at HBO.
