UFC FIGHT PASS CARD FROM GERMANY TONIGHT
Los Angeles, CA– Ladies and gentlemen. Damas y caballeros. One of my personal favorite fighters to watch is returning to action this weekend. Unfortunately for the viewing public, she is headlining a UFC Fight Night card that will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass, a service which very few fans actually have. The fighter I am referring to is strawweight (115) champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (9-0).
JOANNA J WILL DEFEND SUCCESSFULLY
“Joanna J”, as she is referred to on Ring Talk Radio and Sports Overnight America, is a gifted young athlete from Poland who has great striking technique. She is truly a joy to watch, and she defends her belt against Jessica Penne (12-2) of the United States. Penne is a great young fighter as well, but J is a bit better, and will remain the champ.
UNDERCARD NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT
Perhaps the most interesting fight on this card apart from the main event is a featherweight (145) clash between Dennis Siver (22-10, 1 NC) and Tatsuya Kawajiri (33-8-2), which serves as the chief support for this evening. Siver has fought the better opposition and will have his hand raised in front of his home crowd.
NEXT WEEK’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT EVENT LOOKS GREAT
Middleweights (185) Lyoto Machida (22-6) and Yoel Romero (9-1) will square off on June 27, with Romero being the slight favorite. Lyoto looked done as a fighter in his last fight against Luke Rockhold (14-2), and Romero is a very dangerous opponent.
HAS-BEEN VERSUS NEVER-WAS IN BELLATOR MAIN EVENT
Heavyweight (265) has-been Ken Shamrock (28-15-2) will take on never-was Kimbo Slice (4-2) will battle in the main event of Bellator 138-Unfinished Business on Friday night on Spike TV. Shamrock is 51 and Kimbo is 41. This fight should be sponsored by Depends Adult Diapers. Shamrock has not fought since 2010. Kimbo also has not had an MMA fight since 2010, though he went 7-0 (6 KO) as a boxer from 2011-2013. I give the edge to Kimbo here simply based on the fact that Shamrock is absolutely ancient for a fighter. Kimbo, real name Kevin Ferguson, is no spring chicken, but should possess enough power to put Shamrock out. If you feel like checking out this weird little spectacle, tune in to Spike TV at 9PM/6PM ETPT.
